Does amazon still accept mismatched names for disbursement?
I ask because today I accessed my seller account and when I went to input my disbursement information (bank acct. and name) the box now says that the name must match exactly what is on my bank deposit.
I have never seen this line in bold before this month, is this new?
Has anyone had any problems getting their disbursement in a mismatched name lately?

You are confusing the VCC issue. Amazon always tests charges your card before distribution.
Banks are all about the banks. Most are fine with mismatched. Some are not. I get paid every single week with bank accounts in corporate names and amazon accounts in made up personal names.

I see that as well, but its probably only a measure taken by AMZ due to people using banks that reject payment due to mismatched, whether done intentionally or unintentionally. Just helps makes sure ppl double check their info I would guess. But as mentioned above, so long as your using banks that are fine with mismatched info, it's a irrelevant warning.

Oh, ok
One more thing, does the name on the card have to match too or can it be mismatched also?

I walked in to my local wells fargo to withdrawal a hefty amount of funds and they asked me who "xxxx xxxxx" was that my paypal/amazon deposits were from.
I simply said it was a business partner and I was getting my share. She nodded her head and handed me my mula!
Wells fargo and BOA are good banks
