The only downside is, now Amazon sends buyers an email about 3 days after the return request asking if their issue was resolved. (I know this as a buyer)

Bit silly there. This could cause you more problems.

I have done it many times In my experience it's the best thing to do for cases like these

And I have already closed the return selecting 'out of policy"

Closing or accepting a return is considered a response to Amazon, according to your "Email Response Time" metric. Just as good as replying to the email.

Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later

I have had this happen about 3 times the last couple of months and I thought it was very strange too. Basically the same thing, they didnt receive, about a year later.

I think two of the buyers were buyers from south america that use the florida shipping agents.

They never replied after I told them it has been a year since their purchase and that the item had been delivered.

I have a weird feeling that they are reading some guides on how to do this and I feel like they probably try with all buyers, whoever falls for it, falls for it.

A bigger company/seller might be more inclined to just refund them anyways.

Thats probably what these late claims are from, i received 2 myself asking for returns 14 months after the sale recently, saying the item was not working

Someone should find these guides, everyone here buy one, then file chargebacks. At around $35 bucks per chargeback, their little business would go belly up fast.

If only the people that knew about these guides would tell us where to find them...

Yes, I did some deep Google searching and was unable to locate anything.

Probably for the best.

search harder then, theres tons of forums and websites out there dedicated to scamming folk. Disgusts me and it actually puts me off wanting to sell on ebay/amazon due to these f*ckin* w*nk*rs stealing ££ from peoples pockets. Unnaceptable.

Yeah it's pretty messed up on how people can dedicate themselves to writing tutorials in scamming people.

Search terms, and engine, because I can't find anything. PM me some links. I want to buy the guides then do chargebacks....give them a taste of their own medicine.
