add a Irish bank account to my UK account

anybody know what happened if we add a irish bank account to UK amazon account ?
will we get EURO instead of British pounds ?

yes if its for uk marketplace amazon will convert them in euros and then send to your bank account

fees are quite high and rates are really bad not worth it

do we need to tell amazon UK that our bank account actually is a Irish bank account ?
will amazon Uk know it from our account number ?

well if your account is normal like sort code and account number then dont tell them it has to be 6 digits sort code and 8 digits account no

Fire give you a EUR & GBP account when you open a business account with them

Just out of curiosity, which country bank accounts would an amazon UK accept aside from UK itself? Irish, scottish, what else?

Would it accept anything from say Germany, Holland, France?

But problem is they charge 3 or 4% conversion fees and gives very bad exchange rate

Ouch, that hurts. I wonder if it's possible to use a USA bank account and also keeping the currency unexchanged ... then when we want to use the funds, we just exchange it ourselves to prevent the 3-4% rate

Nope not possible once money into Amazon account this has to withdraw into linked account

That's why world first or transferwise is best option since they offer uk bank account this can be added on Amazon and then once money Into Transfer wise you can convert and send to anywhere in the world at very lost cost and with best rates

Well you can use any county supported account but again trouble is exchange rate and their fees

Best option will be uk account which is very easy to get and Amazon don't mind any bank

Don't remember the fees but I think it is around 3 to 4%
