How to do returns?

Umm mainly my amazon account is addressed 500 miles away where my parents are but I've been of course shipping elsewhere..

I was wondering if I used fedex or ups.. or usps for my return? I was wondering once it's in the shipping system? could I just re-route it to my location via computer update? Cause return and changing location is a factor I haven't quite figured out yet

You could

A) rent a mailbox near you and have it sent there
B) have it sent to your parents then give them labels to reship it to you

Option A is better if you live in a major city where it's basically impossible to link based on proximity. If you live in a town with 200 people then that's riskier.
