Default So now we can't sell USED DVD's on eBay?

Seriously pathetic. I had listed 6 DVD's (USED) and I have been limited for 7 days due to a compliance thing saying that a company has used their power to remove my listings for copyright infringement. Please explain how selling USED DVD's from my collection is a copyright infringement? I purchased them, they are my property - if I wish to sell them, surely like thousands of others on eBay I'm allowed to ...?

You can take legal action if they are truly authentic. I would give it a shot. Many people have tried and many have won. I think it is something like the resell act or something like that.

Well - I think the NAME of the DVDs is key...used in general would be ok but if it's a risky title...well...

Have you asked Ebay that question? If so what did they say. If not why not? Could be useful

Might be pathetic but it's true as well.

AFACT has been operating a nasty programme hand in glove with ebay australia for a long time.

Listing dvds is a problem. You may well have previously owned the item. But you have to be careful of listing it. it does get implied you have no rights to sell 2nd hand items, in this case used dvs.

Should it be from a company that has amusment parks all over the world, expect troubles.
Should it be from a company of Brothers , expect trouble.

What you need to do is check to see what's being listed on ebay au. Look carefully at how the listings are worded. Should have done 1st .

What was the notice, in any case?

such a pain for other countries it sounds. I sell used DVD's on one account and never had a problem. I dont list multiples of the same one though. Not if that really matters. Great, maybe something I might have to worry about. I will soon see.

on ebay, they are the boss. if you want to work things out, relax and give them a call like what others have suggested.

I did list them as other people did - "As new, only watched once". There are hundreds of others selling the exact same way, including actual shops with 2000-10000+ feedback who are obviously selling pirated versions as far as I know (eg; listing items as R1/R4 or R2/R4) meaning its a "multi-region DVD" ..not sure if these actually exist legally though.

Then you may have had a competitor. It's a pretty nasty niche on ebay australia. Competition is not liked.

tbh, if 'I' read that listing, I'd think pfft, another seller trying to get 'my' sale. Human nature.
(nb, I have NOT read the listing but that's my reaction).

hey dude-from my experience-when the big seller advertise R2/R4 it's a marketing ploy-region 2 is the UK-back in the day b4 the net and enterprising hackers-regions were created (disgustingly) based on economic status-we can all guess who is reg 1 and 6-the US and china-gotta love the wicked irony-if it weren't 4 china we would b paying $100 4 a tv series-frequently i would have a customer insist "these region 1's are made in the US right?"-i replied and u should do this also-google "amazon warehouses outside the US"-why they list 1 in china is beyond me-then u ask yr self why-we know why-back to my point often they will include R4so u feel better-them knowing u have a region free player-and chances are they have a legal disclaimer re "we cant b held responsible if it doesn't work-it's a ploy-legal but a tad shifty-it's region '0' that is dodgy that doesn;t exist-regards OZZIE_DUDE

The way you type in one long paragraph, while somewhat heavy, is amusing in itself. Whatever you're on, I'll take a hit =)
