You start out selling lower priced items until you've got a little history then start selling the $100 items little by little.

See i think thats my problem - my items arent cheap - range from 1-2k, so to do cheaper items is roughly items worth $3-500AU.

So do you think i should just get a bit of buying feedback first? As i wouldnt mind selling on gumtree, seems to be doing well.

1-2k is too big to start off like jb says. Mix of buying and selling. Buy low crap - stuff you need - and begin selling anything very low - then pop in some $10-100 range items (if you can). If you can't, then once you have history you can make a jump to your big sales.

Still a risk - if you're using paypal for all this and IF you're products are legitimate, I would consider using genuine info and not a stealth account. Other opinions people?

For 1-2k transactions though, I would go get a decent payment processor...all depends on your product for sure.
