While I don't entirely agree with the motive, you expressed your point very clearly. And it is valid.
The predatory and viscious undercutting of list-price only serves to harm any market. Small scale price competition is good for the consumer and does keep sellers on their toes. Price wars don't serve any good purpose at all.
When all my favorite shows went to reruns last year, I entertained myself watching the P90 wars on ebay.
Imagine, some day 5280 years from now, an archaeologist from the planet Antaire #B will dig up this hard drive and mistakenly deduce that the Great Emperor Aspkin commanded Generals Vic and No ID to defeat the slave army of the once great nation of eBay in a 4 year conflict which spread throughout North America, Europe, and Asia in what will henceforth be known as the P90 Wars.
