The cleansing of pictures has been discussed often in the threads. Google 'Exif removal'

I use BatchPurifier. You can clean complete folders in seconds. I literately scrubbed exif data from over 1,000 pics and over writ the original files in less than 1 minute.

This was covered long ago in the forum. Some people say it links, but I haven't had any issues with it before. I still scrub the exif data regardless.

Still to this day havent heard of this being the problem to a linked account. However it doesnt seem hard for eb to implement. So wipe anyways.

Exif Tag Remover is another good one.

Another piece of software you might want to consider is ReNamer. Its a batch renaming tool.

So if I remove exif data using those tools, is it safe to use the same photos on listings on different stealth account?

Or is it adviseable to use different photos?

Always advisable to use different photos - keep potential links to a minimum.

Same angle of shot, different colour background OK?
I use a light tent and I can make my background white, black and blue...

With some products, there are just 1 or 2 best angles.

I cant consult on business approaches - you have to be creative on that BubbleTea or wait for other folx to chime in.

The following is pure speculation:

Name of the game is minimising risk - right!?

If you are selling something no one else is selling then making your pics very different is potentially important.

When selling the same on different accounts I try to make it look like a different person took the picture.

If you and I were given the same thing - we wouldn't produce the same pics. I think trying to make it seem like the pics were taken by different people means there is slim to nil chance of getting pulled because of your pics.

Even if it is a 2D item where there can be only one shot - you can still make pics look different.

I don't know if it is a big risk or not. But at least if you know that your listings look different in every way there will be less chance of them getting linked.

Sure, I thought so too, but just wanted to hear some thoughts from others.

What about templates?
I think templates make things look very different.
Anyone makes use of different templates on different accounts?

1. scrub pic data
2. new background/different brightness contrast/different angles/tighter shot/wide shot with more background/slight color changes/different resolutions

There are tons of ways to make pictures of the same item taken with the same angle look completely different.

The best way to avoid this is to use images from the public domain and download them into ebay, this will work for a majority of new products, so you and the other 10,000 listers are probably using the same image from the same source so they can not differentiate who is who.

I also use images from amazon as well.

Obviously if the product needs specific images taken by the person listing an item then its just new photo's.

The image is a very low risk when they are detecting a stealth account it is just one of the things that are weighed against it when it gets flagged.

I thought they used this as an excuse to limit people - gives suspicion you don't have the item so have to use stock photos.. Is that right?

In the same way that they like to see the cookies etc, is there a way to batch add photo data after they've been scrubbed?

For example, for one account I might like to add they've been taken by Pentax, another Nikon, another some **** cheap thing etc etc..

It would be nice to then keep the exposure details too rather than add them back in - so a selective batch scrub.

I'd like a back scrub too if that's not getting too much to ask!
