You may or may not get a response since it's difficult to know if your item is considered high risk or not.

Is it absolutely necessary to have some low risk sales under an account's belt before moving into high-risk items?
No, but do you really want to take the risk? if so then so be it.....this forum tries to help people stay safe, some Senior members may already know what is considered high risk or not, for me....I like to start with low risk items.

If, for example, you're selling 10 high-risk items or less for a total of less than $500 a month on a FRESH account, would that account get zucced?
There are too many factors that are play. Also, there are some categories that do have "Category Limits" so you may not even be allowed to list more than a certain number of items.

Going back to your item....you are going to have to test the waters.

What about selling cleaners or groceries that have long expiry date? Like candies and stuff?

Everyone is saying books is good. Is it bad to dropship books from ebay? I am not from the US so can't really ship to my house first or anything

I think you can sell just about anything at low risk if you just have to dump it the stuff.

What do you consider "low risk"?

Low cost dollar store items you find at places like Dollar General, Dollar Tree, 99 Cent Only, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, etc. Think calculators, office supplies, tools, cell phone, or other common household items. Most of them low risk, and at a good price point to get your selling safely started on eBay.

Re: Low Risk Items To Sell??

Hi

I listed my first item with one of the prepaid stealth accounts yesterday
here is what i did with little reading as i still need to spend alot of time to learn and absorb but to start with

• New User Profile on my Laptop
• Kept log of ips and verified the IPS before connecting to VPN( IP BURGER DEDICATED )
• Portable Chrome ( from within the folder)
• New Dedicated IP ( only for this account )
• Browsed items on ebay and listed 1st item after 4 hours ( just one low price item) used batch purifier for pictures
• logged in with Paypal ( shows add passport message but i read its been there for a while now with most of the new accounts)
• installed yahoo mail on my iphone ( disabled images )
• deleted ebay app from my iphone which has previous account ( note my payal was limited not ebay ) but for safe side i will remove paypal too

any thoughts as i will be listening one or two items every day on auction ( should i start buy it now on low price items lets say just to get positive feedback )

* Questions:

while using yahoomail from my phone , if i open the confirmed listening link using my cellular data, will that have any impact or should i stick with email notification only and check my system later with VPN only( the reason i have been using desktop site till yesterday on my phone to access old ebay account )

any other advise..?

Re: Low Risk Items To Sell??

I've never had trouble selling anything on ebay. I've sold it all. Is it because my account is from 2005? So I'm like grandfathered in? I only started to really sell stuff in 2019 as a business. Since 2005 it has been maybe like 2 items a year...

Yep sounds like you already have a solid account that's been around for a while.
