Default Limited Selling History

eBay removes two unwanted birthday presents I had no use for that I'd listed (both legal). I was honest with my descriptions, eg; one item I'd actually opened to have a look at but hadn't USED the item and I explained that thoroughly. So I complain and am instructed to contact eBay Trust & Safety about the issue, waiting to hear back from them now.

All in all the reason "LIMITED SELLING HISTORY"
- Sure I hadn't had this account long, but I had 18 sales and 100% feedback
- How else do I increase my selling history other than listing items?

ebay is rittard

"Two unwanted birthday presents" is too ambiguous, just like "rittard".

Stop trying to obliterate eBay selling limits. People get caught up in getting these as high as they can and are constantly maxing them out.

Abide by what they have said and spread the two items out over the other stealth accounts you have opened.

Gradually build a "selling history" on eBay and PayPal over the first 6 months.

Also, tell your family to buck their ideas up next time!

Never seen 'The Hangover'? I don't think eBay AU has selling limits and I barely used this account this month. At the end of the day ending an item for limited selling history just seems silly unless its someone who bought 200 x 1c items to build up a history and then wants to sell a $10k item with no pick up option for example.

Yeah got your Hangover referrence now

I would just try listing some other items in a different category to build some selling history. This would be a good way forward with the account.

It is a new account with limited selling history, so their is nothing amiss here.

If you are going to contact them, best to phone them.

They maybe legal, but are they Vero items.

When I've had contact with e bays T&S it's always a high risk vero item, even though it may be legal.

Sometimes they say okay, sometimes they suspend the account.

If you have proof of purchase or authenticity, that would be handy.

I hate how every time you get a response its someone different.

Person A) If the items are authentic then its perfectly fine to list them
said they may have been taken down because it didn't list that it was an
authentic item in the description or showed proof of authenticity (COA)

Person B) then replies with a similar e-mail followed by "But remember
re-listing the items will be breaking eBay rules which could result in suspension"

So I reply and asked them why they are contradicting each other and if they mean
if I relist WITHOUT correcting or if I relist them at all, so we'll see what they say.

Trying to discuss these listing issues with eb ay over an e-mail conversation is like trying to discuss daily topics with a doorknob.

At best, try live chat or a phone call.

They aren't really contradicting each other because thier is relevance in these messages to what you are doing and they are both correct.

And yes, stop emailing, use other means of comms with eBay.
