Default Currency exchange from CAD to USD

When using the PayPal internal currency exchange I notice I lose a few points.

$400 USD = $404 with paypal. $400 = $416 on xe. Not a ton of cash, but it adds up. And I'm paying over 12% from sale to cash as it is now. No need to add any more!

Whats a good way to help with this? Would leaving it as USD in PayPal and transferring to bank as USD and letting them deal with conversion be better?

I recommend opening a USD Rbc bank account. You can withdraw money from them in USD.

You get robbed by paypal with a 2-4% conversion rate.

Although I have my issues with RBC, it's nice that you can withdraw USD from the machines.

Hmm...I've never had issues with RBC but maybe that's because I usually use direct deposit most of the time. I don't utilize other features they offer..heh

Well to clarify I have issues with RBC as in personal stuff - just pissed off at how they handled me over non-eBay issues that's why I refuse to do business with them, sadly ha.
