Candian Monthly selling limit

From now on, Have Candian ebay acct a monthly selling limit of 10 items ?
I know UK ebay account have it selling limit.

rsot 09-02-2011 12:11 PM

Yes Canadian accounts go get hit with limits.

ovidiu 09-02-2011 12:24 PM

Ah, the fine legacy all of those counterfeit sellers. They never learn.

rsot 09-02-2011 12:32 PM

Ha everyone wants to find the holes in the system ovidiu - some learn by experimentation, others want the spoonfeeding =)

KK Grain 09-02-2011 12:43 PM

Is there any method to raise the limit?? thanks

rsot 09-02-2011 12:51 PM

Sure there are methods. Can I discuss them openly in a public forum that is seen by all? I won't =(

But way to try - but be prepared with documentation - is to call up eb ay and push for the higher limit.

Best advice I can give is to go slow and build credibility.

. PM me plze...

And that's all eBay wants, in the end.

I find it funny how things are turning out on eBay. A year ago, we thought they were kicking all the small guys out and turning to a operation focused on large powersellers. Now, they are hitting big sellers with limits, and no one is safe from the wrath of PP/T&S. Can eBay make up its mind?

rsot 09-03-2011 08:57 AM

@ovidiu, yeah very skitzy - hitting the big sellers with limits (we discussed my theory on this elsewhere)

@KK_Grain - /quote ". PM me plze..." - why? lazy approach ha =)

So how many items per month can you sell in Canada on a brand new account now?

GrannyT 09-28-2011 12:35 PM

10

stepia2 09-28-2011 01:13 PM

If you verify your Paypal, is it still 10?

GrannyT 09-28-2011 01:15 PM

100

All my verified paypal/eBay accounts have a limit of 10 (even though they're verified)

rsot 09-28-2011 08:21 PM

Likewise - Canada is just as rare to get the limits of 100 even with pre-verified pp account. Have to keep experimenting and devising different plans of attack.

RomexTM 09-28-2011 08:25 PM

I think most countries are like this now, Australia has 10 items per month too.

mosguy 09-28-2011 10:16 PM

it is 0 now for Asia countries, no more 10 items limit , soon will hit all of you

GrannyT 09-29-2011 02:00 AM

This could be the catalyst that the smaller auction sites such as Ebid have been waiting for. If sellers are no longer able to sell on Ebay they will find new outlets.

While I readily accept that no one comes near to Ebay in size they are all enjoying a degree of organic growth and Ebay restricting new sellers for any length of time ultimately has to be good for the smaller sites.

All they have to do now is get the buyers to follow them

So far I see only UK members say the Canadian selling limit can be raised by adding a bank account. I know that it's the case in the UK, but would like to hear from someone who opened an account on ebay.ca and not ebay.co.uk. Have you guys actually opened an account on ebay.ca and were able to raise the initial limit of 10/m by verifying your Paypal account?
