Exclamation Canada Post labels with Ebay

I'm kind of getting tired of going to the post office and doing it the oldschool way so I figured I'd look into this.

Seems like you can pay and print labels with pp/ebay but I had a few questions.

I would assume ebay pre-populates your address information, is this editable? If not, can you still print it and drop it off at the local post office even if you're located is across the country from your stealth accounts? I would see this as a big no-no if I was Canada Post.

Anything else that makes this more difficult with a stealth account?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Pre-populates yes - even if your address is located on the other side of the country, there is no issue - you can send it WITHOUT PROBLEMS.

Example, I have a stealth account in Nfld but I still ship in Alberta - no issue.

Only issue is if your item is returned or undeliverable, it gets returned to your return address - make sure you factor this in

Really? You'd think CP wouldn't like that because the different costs...

I figured within the same province would be fine but outside I thought they'd stop ya.

Good to know though.

You can print Canada Post shipping labels through PayPal's shipping tool. However the 1 thing is - if you do it on your Stealth account, and don't have access to its Stealth address, it shows up by default as the return address on the label you print. So if it gets returned for whatever reason (non delivery, insufficient postage, wrong weight, etc..) then you would be screwed.

*** I initially thought I should print labels for all my Stealth accounts buyers' with my legit PayPal account that has my current address. But I'd be worried that somehow PayPal could link my legit account with the Stealth because of all the addresses being in common. (Can anyone confirm if this link could happen? The chances? Aside from the would-be common addresses of buyers, my legit account's info and everything is compleeeetely different from any Stealth accounts')

Anyway, OP you could also do it through Canada Post's website and they have a tool called Ship-in-a-Click (which isn't the most convenient to use) but you have the option to enter in whatever address you want. Of course you can enter in your real address here and PayPal obviously won't see it.

OR Canada Post has all these other online shipping tools here based on your needs:

Canada Post <-- Click

^ I tried the EST Online tool and it was kinda confusing :( Let me know if you have any luck using it or any other tool they have there

You could always manually change the return address...

It would have to be done outside of PayPal...so how would this be possible?

Yeah I thought of this but...Do you think this would be allowed by Canada Post? Or any shipping company for that matter?

Cause if they allowed that, I can see a way people would easily do this to cheat domestic shipping costs

And stamps.com isn't for Canada unfortunately

I ship my items using Paypal Canada Post. It is very simple and on items within Canada it gets me a bigger discount than if I used the venture card or went into the postal outlet to ship it. Small Packet Air Mail items to the USA are the same price regardless of where I go to ship it (all the same price at Canadapost.ca, Paypal and the actual postal outlet)... $7.80 / 10.15 and 15.56 depending on weight.
Larger items are also cheaper to ship through paypal than going into the postal outlet or even the canadapost ship in a click online method.

Shipping through paypal also automatically adds tracking info to ebay and marks it as shipped.
