do they reqquest any extra information?

They only request SSN. I have 3 accounts with them now. If your trying to stay long term then this would be good

Prepaid card with an "overdraft" fee?

Hey. Would I be able to use the accountnow prepaid card as my "bank" on paypal? I need something that will allow me to receive the 2 deposits, and also be used to purchase things on ebay. I dont need it for any ebay verifications. I was looking into netspend cards, which seem to do what I need done, but many places have said they are no good. Any insight would be appreciated (here or through PM). Thanks.

They worked for me a few days ago as a bank on paypal

Report to hand since your post, that paypal is putting limits on accounts using this funding source.
It is consistent with porblems AccountNow & metabank have given. paypal want a 'real' bank & its info for their purposes

Paypal wants banks that they can easily dip into when ur account gose into the negative Causeing your bank overdraft and leaveing u in the neg with a bunch of overdraft fees. You can't overdraft on metabank or account now :)

I think people are getting a little too paranoid. Accountnow and Metabank are just fine. I have been using them for years. Too much credit is given to PP when trying to analyzing why people get limited.

However, I will say this. I used Accountnow virtual bank account to open my merchant account, but now it is not accepted for some reason. :/

^^ Thx for the update "thablewprnt" I just tested this card 1 hour or so ago and it still works. i opened 2 accounts for a friend using this card so i can say it still works!!!:cheer::cheer:

This is MetaBank right? Does that matter? I thought Meta was a paypal boycott...

This is the thread I referred to in my post. The user in question had his account limited because of accountnow. I think it not unreasonable to recommend avoiding using it.If one less point of annoying paypal can be used then that is a better idea,no?

What kind of personal information do they need besides ID verification? SSN? Also, does Accountnow require any minimum balances to keep the checking account totally free? Being that it's pre-paid I also see there are other fees that will apply based on this screenshot I took from their website below. So what types of fees are everyone seeing using this service?
