Is it safe??? Will ebay link my acct to a suspended acct? Because I use the same credit card to pay ebay fee.

Go buy a new gift card and pay your fees only if you want to continue listing on this account. Do not link your accounts if you can avoid it. I would start a new account for later.

Anyone can help me??

Last time I checked, eBay doesn't ban you for this. As long as the payment goes through, you'll be fine. Do what the others suggested and get another prepaid to pay your balance.

Jonas 01-19-2008 09:15 PM

In my experience ebay doesn't ban you until two months after not paying.

Even if you get your card declined all the time, as long as you end up paying it's fine.

On my merchant account I get every other buyer who has trouble with their card working, mostly because I make the street address and zip code match to prevent chargebacks.

imjustme 01-19-2008 09:31 PM

They won't know if it's a gift card or not, for all they know you could be past your credit card limit.

Jonas 01-19-2008 09:35 PM

I've had a number of ebay buyers who actually used prepaid reloadable credit cards. Other ones simply I am unsure about but their cards get declined because they are broke and didn't put money in it.

thelizardking 01-19-2008 10:35 PM

they won't know its a vcc, as long as you have the funds to clear it you should be fine. When your funds on that card run out. Go buy a new card and register it with the same info as the other one and make one time payments.

I love this forum!! Thank you guys!!

I order a Simon Giftaccount yesterday morning. It said expected delivery was 2/3 but so far NOTHING! Is this normal? I paid for it with a 'real' debit card.

thelizardking 02-03-2008 07:17 PM

Yeah if you order it on the weekend you won't get it till mon/tues.

ebayvictim 02-03-2008 07:19 PM

Thanks, I'm still fighting the paranoia! LOL

thelizardking 02-03-2008 07:25 PM

haha, yeah don't worry. The first one I ordered on a Fri eve, got it on mon eve, and I started getting paranoid. They'll email you with the card. Now I only order Mon-Thurs am, usually shows up within 24hrs.

Can you also add the virtual simon gift gard to your PayPal as well?
Thanks

raysacr 02-27-2008 12:58 AM

My account got suspended, and now I have a Simon Virtual account still with $20 on it. How do I used the simon account if it has a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address on it?

thelizardking 02-27-2008 01:25 AM

You can order stuff on the internet, just make sure that if its something that will be shipped...they can send it to your real address.

Simon still good for EBAY?

I used a simon card to activate an ebay acct, but got declined...
I've never had this problem before.

My guessing is maybe ebay has noticed that too many accts activated by simon card got problems when ebay charged for the monthly fee...

Maybe I have to switch to other alternatives...

aspkin 02-29-2008 04:21 PM

I don't think so, just try another card.

koalawash 03-01-2008 02:10 AM

I doubt that was the reason. Was it the typical "abusing ebay" message?

umaga 03-02-2008 10:14 PM

where to get credit card ?

hi, to sign up for paypal and ebay, you need a credit card. I know simon.com gift cards are pretty popular in this forum, but my buddy told me they dont work any more, is this true? are there other options? thank you

koalawash 03-02-2008 11:09 PM

It does work for expanded use. I've done it before.

Unless something has changed very recently, you should be alright.

Lisa B 03-03-2008 11:03 AM

Worked for me for expanded use last month as well, you should be OK.

Unless something has changed
