Saving accounts which one to choose

Hi I was wonder out of all the savings accounts you can pick from what are the best ones to open.

I prefer to use basic accounts for paypal UK.


I never like the concept of paypal sniffing around "my" account.

Basic accounts are by far simple to use

I think it is now quite difficult to open a basic account. I talked to Natwest, Halifax and Nationwide customer services. They say you need to apply for a current account first. If your application refused we can offer you a basic account. As far as I know it wasn't like this before.
I applied for a basic account with Tesco and Santander. I'm still waiting for the result.

Basic accounts are easy to open if you know what to do.

I am based in the UK. I don't know what to do though
