Woah BTC

It's $9860 as I'm typing..

It has skyrocketed from 5k to nearly 10k in just a couple months?

What do we think about it's pricing? Any chance of a dip?

I have made my profits for the moment, very happy with my holding ability :p, and so I'm moving some profits to real estate.

It might not happen for awhile but in the next dip I'm back in. As for now my sell limit is about to hit.

Do we see a dip? OR this is train not stopping for awhile?

I hope the train does not stop.

Re: Woah BTC

I dont think there will be much of a dip. At least no the 25%-30% ones that we saw earlier in the year.
There will probably be some profit taking when it touches 10k but Im pretty sure the dip will bought up in no time.
I think the fact CME is opening up the gates for derivative trading in a couple of weeks will make sure of that. I think an ETF is only a matter of months now and after that sky's the limit. I can see major banks offering bitcoin wallets by 2019 - which means the price could rocket to 6 figures within 2 years.
At least that's what Im hoping for :)

Re: Woah BTC

I've just cashed out. I do think it will rise further, but I also know if futures deal doesn't go through, there will be a big dip (similar to when ETF didn't go through earlier on in the year) - and as usual we won't find out about it till after the price sinks a bit.

I also see resistance with regards to hitting 10k, I imagine lots of side to side movements prior.

But I've made my profits, I'm going to wait for a dip to buy back in. :)

Aspkin, What has shorting Bitcoin done for you so far. If there is a dip soon, it will be 10% and last a week max. Just HODL and you will get better gains then any other investment.

Re: Woah BTC

I think one thing is always true with BTC. IT ALWAYS GOES UP. It is constantly hitting new highs on top of new highs. How long until it doubles again? I personally think if you can afford to hold on to it and not cash out then that would be the most profitable. It will always dip down, but maybe playing the game of selling high and re-buying at a lower price is not worth the risk.

Just my opinion :)

Dang.. 1 Bitcoin equals
10218.42 US Dollar

I fully believe BTC will go 40-50k by the end of 2018. Just when you make 1000% returns on your investment (speculation); time to buy a house. Lol.

I'll buy more soon (if/when it dips).

I've just bought back in again. I thought there would be resistance hitting $10k, clearly not since it nearly hit $11k early hours of the morning.

hmmm.... It is exploding and less people are referring to it as a bubble....

Been buying since $280ish in 2015. Never sold a single Bitcoin. HODL especially with BTC is the way to go. Speculate with the ALTcoins if you must.

Re: Woah BTC

You should hold at least 50% of your stake in BTC. You know it's stable. A few alts have gone up 50-100x, but many have dipped since mid-year highs. If you had invested in alts before March/April, your gains would be 2-3x on the year than just holding BTC. But if you had invested mid-year, they'd be roughly the same.

And if it doesn't dip? You'll have missed out on a LOT if it continues to just go up!

12.5k range, we should see a retracement. Been consolidating here for a little while, even with BILLIONS being poured into the marketcap. BTC is gaining dominance up to 56% (from 52% just a week ago) via www.coinmarketcap.com.

How big will the drop be? 7700-9000 is my sentiment.

ALTCOINS are where you want to be guys!

I dont see it going that low - from over $12k to under 8k. Wouldnt make sense with all the money that will be pouring in shortly. In terms of percentage that will be a bigger dip than we had when the China news broke out earlier this year.
But even if theres a correction weve seen this pattern a number of times so far this year. The dip is bought up in a matter of 2-3 weeks to reach new highs.

Speaking of new Highs - it just broke $12k about an hour ago and is now at over $12,200.

Just to add, there just wont be a correction now (IMO). Not with institutions now coming along with their fat wallets.

The last correction was a few days ago, I had predicted it would go down to $8k, and taking history into account, that wasn't a bold prediction, but I was wrong, it only went to $9,250 and jumped back.

The corrections are much smaller, and the bounce backs are much quicker now.

BTC hit £10k GBP which is a nice milestone.

Either way its running at $13.1k now, and with so much good news right now (for the most part), I see it rising to $14k potentially within a day or two.

AU$20267.00 on ACX which is an Aussie exchange.

AU$17533 on CoinCap.io
UD$13300 on the above.

I need to get some sleep. But I have to wait.

Newcomers elesewhere are so busy moaning about the delays in getting registrations verified.
Coinbase had supposedly minor maintenance issues. Yeah, right.

Prediction was on par.

$14.5k as we speak...

I also did say these $1k incremental increases in value of BTC will be happening much faster now given the big investments coming in.

LOL, RSOT. This is mind blowing for me and I had one of this first threads about this back in 2015. My first 1.73 BTC I copped for $500 is now worth over $25k!!! Unreal!!!

Yes I noticed that and thought it was strange. Usually no matter what, even if it's a smaller percentage of gain, alts will increase with BTC increasing

On the 10th the Cboe Options Exchange will begin Bitcoin based futures trading.
A week later on the 18th is when CME will join that game.
This in essence is the first step - and a major one - for mainstream acceptance by financial institutions. It will allow pretty much all investors to have access to Bitcoin.
Theres a LOT of money waiting to come into the market in the next 3 weeks so watch out for a lot more action before the end of the year.
