That's everyone's goto argument. Except, it also answers its own question. Only a fraction of nerds on the internet "believe" BTC is worth anything right now unlike USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, GBP, etc. It's barely one step above gamers selling WoW characters to each other. Is there profit to be made? Sure. But, that doesn't mean it's a legit currency. | I like Bitcoin for the technology and safety vs the US dollar. When Janet Yellen announces in a few months the US economy is too weak to raise interest rates instead they will be doing more Quantitative easing. Well I will be thankful. People who poo poo Cyrpto are the same who said no one would ever use email, no one would ever put their credit card on the internet to buy things, etc. I am very comfortable with Bitcoin in its current range. 5 to 10x fold within three years in my opinion, because of too much drama with everybody's mamma across the globe. |

Can anyone share how much they lose/win on average when they withdraw from PP to BTC? what kind of tools do I need to use to be safe using that method? |

Any questions anyone has just ask me. | I use Bitify (Cryptothrift), only buying paypal from people with 500+ positives. Is there a way to stop reversals months later on Paypal?
Do person to person transfers allow reversals the same as business transactions? |

Do person to person transfers allow reversals the same as business transactions? | If someone sends you money via PayPal for BTC there is no way to stop them trying to reverse the transaction if they want to
That is the risk you take selling people BTC via PayPal |

This is different to a crypto-currency which is a created when algorithms are solved. Crypto-currency are also not government backed which means they are do suffer from pretty mad inflation and deflation sometimes when compared to say the £ or $ |
| bjammin | 04-07-2016 10:35 AM | Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts? Something I think is interesting is that is has been hovering around $410 - $420 for awhile now. I would not be surprised if it takes off like a rocket in one direction or another. Its like a super bouncy ball contained in a small can, just waiting to get out. |
| Ebayorbust | 04-07-2016 10:47 AM | Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts? Agreed. I've found it to be very stable since I started using it around 4 or 5 months ago. The rate has gone between £270 to £305 so fairly settled compared to some of the stories I have heard, lol.
I'm a big fan. :) |

Wouldn't be surprised if that is a catalyst for a higher price. |

Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts? Yup exactly.
Anyone following Ethereum? Been watching it from the beginning but its a little too expensive to purchase and hold. Waiting for dip/crash before jumping in.
Litecoins looking like a great buy at these prices as well. |

I hate going into something that everyone is HOT on, but it does seem like not everyone is 100% sold on it, so it should still be viable for the next coming years.
When BTC was at $8, I had the chance to grab 25 of them for some "in game merchandise". Unfortunately, I didn't have the patience or knowhow to jump on the deal at the time. Man what a flip that would've been. |
Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts? There was some spike in 2014 where it was over 1k per bitcoin I recall |
| vogeltron | 06-06-2016 09:38 AM | Re: Any Bitcoin or Cyrptocurrency enthusiasts? I bought in at the $260 level last July. I would think there would a be a pull back at some point but the block chain payout is suppose to be cut in half later in the year. So I have no idea how to play this one. |

Massive expansion on Central Bank balance sheets, there is lots of distrust fro FIAT currency. BREXIT, Bank Bail-ins and other factors in play as well.
Bitcoin now trading just under $650. |
