There is no difference true or not true wholesaler can't divide in category ,
There are big wholesalers that sell also one item at the time by increasing the price
then they are making up the extra overhead by raising the price .
Some may not even want to do so,as they only sell to retailers who has accounts with them, and not every retailer who applies get approved.
A friend of mine is a camera guy,he is now retired , collecting SS disability ,so he suggested I sell Leica camera,as he is limited by SS to earn income.
Now,you dont have to be Einstein to know,LEica is the rolls royce of cameras,is it going to let two stay at home mom and pop business sell their products?
In the early days of Paypal, those who rely on vendors to dropship laptops, and other popular electronic goods to their Ebay buyer lost money in $$thousands, back then PAYPAL gives us 7 days to have the item delivered domestic, and the vendors cant source enough and miss the deadline, while the items are in transit ,buyer file INR and win,end up with nice freebies.
what I mean to say is that those so called wholesalers willing to dropship retail orders of one or two items are not true wholesalers/manufacturers/distributors.
True wholesalers have overhead and their business models are geared towards large orders based on pricing and profit.
Since true wholesale price is 50% of retail, they just cant afford to make their worker fulfill small order (labor cost and backoffice paperwork).
Of course, AMZ / Walmart / Aliexpress is not retail wholesale, but before anyone decided to purchase goods in bulk he better dropship first to test the water if it works than he can start seeking wholesale. Purchasing wholesale without experience is a recipe for a disaster.
dropship to other is a failed method because can't handle the item ,most of cases finishing to refund the buyer because it arrive late or get lost or is damage/not working and also may get ngative feedback and claims
Walmart/Bestbuy/Costco are not dropshipppers in the eyes of Ebay and AMZN,please look up retail arbitrage and why your accounts will be banned by both.
Too many people in this game ,thin profit could be wiped out by a few mishap, the early birds did make a lot of money.
So, what dropshipping gurus are teaching: start dropshipping from walmart, home depot, costco, and other retail stores, is not dropshipping, but retail arbitrage, and will get you suspended from ebay/amazon, correct? If I dropship from a true wholesaler, that would be okay in the eyes of ebay/amazon?
Why do these supposed gurus tell you to dropship from retail stores? I know the bottom line is making money for them in their courses, but at least teach something that won't get you banned!
