Default Starting with DropShipping

I would like to start doing DropShipping. Obviously, I'll be reading some of the threads that are already active, however I'd appreciate if someone can point me towards the right direction.

Can you please give me some tips and information that is good to know?

The general idea is simple, you sell something on Ebay or Amazon( or other sites) that you can find cheaper somewhere else, then send it straight to your customer.

You can learn on the job, look for some price differences between Amazon and Ebay for example, or between two Amazon sites like Amazon UK and DE.

For example with Amazon UK you can look for the top selling items, then check Amazon Germany and see what price those same items sell for there, can be a big difference.

Or find an item on Amazon for say 50 eur, then create a new listing with slightly different wording, and try to sell for 200 eur.

etc

what is that new rule AMZN comes up with return?
if you order an item and ask to be shipped to someone else,if the item is returned back to AMZN,AMZN may not credit your account for the return?

Thanks for the info! And, how about the buyer's address? How do I add it once the listed item has been sold?

Why do some retailers and wholesalers say that you need to buy with piece order, say a minimum of 20 pieces? As far as I know, DropShipping is when you sell online and you don't have any stock, correct? The DropShipper should be responsible to send the item to the buyer once a purchase has been made. Am I correct?

Could be due to size of item - shipping 1 vs (say) 20 is economical for shipping rate...?

true wholesalers do not deal in nickel and dime, they expect you the retailer to order enough quantity,as wholesale price is 50% of retail, they make money by selling in volume.
true wholesaler also does not dropship for you, unless they are big ticket item like a tractor, server, rig,

There is a lot of information on youtube. Of course there is lots of crap but you can find really usefull information for the beginners. You need some time and patience to find it and study then. Nothing difficult.
Then if you succeed in dropshipping sales, your first real ebay account 100% will get MC011 and you will be forced to study Stealth cause you won't be able to create accounts on ebay anymore.

if your so called dropship/wholesaler is asking you to buy 20 pieces, then he aint dropship for you,he wants you to buy 20 pieces and you can sell them one by one.
Or they will ship to your buyer if he is buying 20 pieces, not one piece.
so if you must have those pieces, then either take 20 into your inventory or find some buyer who would buy 20 pieces or more

I would not look over Amazon for dropshipping as it already supersaturated and the profit margins are very tiny. 2/3% per sale.

It could Works well with suppliers like Walmart / Bestbuy / Costco. I would not suggest using China suppliers at this moment because of the virus which makes it harder to ship goods outside of China.

Start to dropship and if you see that 1 product works for you, buy bulk for a wholesale price and have control over your own supply.

Walmart/Bestbuy/Costco are not dropshipppers in the eyes of Ebay and AMZN,please look up retail arbitrage and why your accounts will be banned by both.
Too many people in this game ,thin profit could be wiped out by a few mishap, the early birds did make a lot of money.

Well, there is a difference between your words and the actual search results on eBay.

what I mean to say is that those so called wholesalers willing to dropship retail orders of one or two items are not true wholesalers/manufacturers/distributors.
True wholesalers have overhead and their business models are geared towards large orders based on pricing and profit.
Since true wholesale price is 50% of retail, they just cant afford to make their worker fulfill small order (labor cost and backoffice paperwork).

I will cite an example-
I have a supplier who had a factory in China,he will design the item and the factory will make them, then they will be shipped to CA ,after they pay customs and freight and the efforts of designing and instructing the factory how to make them, plus breakage once arrived and unpacked, they charge me $3/piece,thats wholesale price and I will order usually 200 pieces.
I will also order some larger pieces, say around $28/piece.
so that $1-2k per order, someone has to go to the warehouse and pick the different styles .
Can you imagine if they are dropshipping one or two of these items at $3 a piece? or they start charging more, lets say $5 a piece and they have to charge your cc ,prepare an invoice, shipping label and take it to the post office?
Most suppliers do not use USPS ,as they cant afford to have someone stand in line at the post office, they are paid to work, not to stand in line.

There is no difference true or not true wholesaler can't divide in category ,
There are big wholesalers that sell also one item at the time by increasing the price
