First call into eBay - Asked about my IP location

Had my first call into eBay to raise limits.

I used google voice to create this account just to see what would happen. Got the 0/0 limit that I wasn't too surprised about. When I called in I gave my address in VA Beach that I was using but my IP address is Utah that I got from IPBurger. They didn't ask about the google voice number but did ask if I was in VA since they saw a log in from Utah.

Thinking on my feet I admitted I was on a VPN as this was suggested to protect my data since the recent move in congress made ISP's able to sell your data without an opt in. Or really the law that was going to go into effect was stopped but same diff. Worked like a charm. Asked the usual questions I was expecting from reading this forum as to what I was planning on selling and limits raised to 25/$2,000 which is higher than the limit my tracfone account got.

Just a heads up as a good excuse for using a VPN that isn't the same as your address if they ask.

You basically admitted you are trying to hide, I'm surprised you didn't lose your account on the spot.

Proof there's just no actual recipe for any of this, it's just about luck and timing.
