raspberry pi

I am only semi computer literate, better than most but no where up there with the pros. Was reading an article in Books a Million about Raspberry Pi-3, as my guru son in law is installing Kodi and exodus on it so I can stream any movie that is out there. So I said what the heck let me read up on it. It was pretty much all greek to me but this article caught my attention.

Changing IP addresses using a Raspberry Pi-3.

Has anyone heard of this. I have three accounts, one phone, one hot spot and one cable. Would love to have a fourth but really the other three are all 1000/50,000 but would like to branch off into a fourth to sell some semi risky items and don't want my main accounts taken down (did lose one before).

cheap flashed mifi off ebay will easily run 10 or more accounts. It is cool that you may have found a new technique, but nothing more simple than a mifi.

The Kodi addon Exodus is dead, it wont be getting anymore updates and the links it pulls are str8 sh1t. The creator of Genesis and Exodus has come out with the third installment called "The Covenant". It can be found in the Colossus repository.

Yes, but I don't think it works like you think it does. Linux (Rapsbian) can be run on the Raspberry Pi. Since Linux can run on it you are able to turn it into a VPN server. If you use SoftEther as your VPN server program you could connect to what ever public ip the Raspberry Pi is connected to by VPN tunnel through port 443 using SoftEther Client on your local machine, even if the Raspberry Pi is behind a router and firewall. (Which it will be).

This would work if say... a friend let you use their internet connection. You could leave the Raspberry Pi at their house connected to their WiFi and connect to the VPN from your house (or anywhere in the world) to use their public ip. I did basiclly this but using a Android cell phone so I could also use the cellular ip's.

If you are unable to use SoftEther Client to connect, on Android or Chromebook for example, you'd have to use a OpenVPN or L2TP/ipsec client. These Clients will not tunnel through the router and firewall. You would have to to expose the UDP ports 500 and 4500 on the server and open UDP ports 500 and 4500 on the router.

This is why I spent the last few weeks figuring out how to get SoftEter VPN Client working on Linux. http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ip-addr...x-tutoral.html

In theory I could now root my android phone and run Linux Deploy to install SoftEther Client on Android if needed.

No matter what you read, SoftEther is the best opensource VPN program available. It combines protocols OpenVPN, L2TP/IPsec, MS-STTP, and SoftEther protocol (Ethernet over https).

The SoftEther protocol can do things no other protocol can do. It doesn't show up on whoer.net that your using a Anonymizer or give away that your behind a VPN by your OS TCP/IP: Using the SoftEther protocol, the only thing that gives away your behind a VPN is your datacenter ip (if your using one). This is because it uses https to tunnel thought 443 making it appear just like any other connection to a website.

I've been running 5 accounts for over a year on a flashed mifi, as of today I've logged exactly 580 verizon ip's. Only once did i get a duplicate. There must be thousands of ip's. Each subnet should have 255 ip's. I've logged 75.199.xx.xx - 75.255.xx.xx that's 56 subnets x 255 =14,280 ip's

Wait... it's more that that, its 14,280 x 255 = 3,641,400

Lots of nice things you can do with the Pi. Youtube is your friend.
