I feel like this whole thing looks promising.

No Ayden will deposit the funds directly into your Bank account and PayPal will still be a payment option for a few years until Ayden fully integrates with Ebay buyers and after that PayPal will be fazed out.

| Too much in EBay's announcement is ambiguous.
Are EBay suggesting the plan is to drop Paypal as a payment method completely after 2023?
In other words, will it not be possible to pay with Paypal through the Adyen system after 2023?
Etsy offer this now. I assume a similar setup will be available on EBay?

If it’s like how early Etsy payments and their option to split is, the payment will still go to your PayPal account if you choose this.

Hope its option 2.
If its option 1 then it pretty much eliminates US stealth for anyone without the ability to get themselves a US based bank account - which is almost everyone outside the US...

Paypal is probably the biggest target on the internet when it comes to scammers.
Nobody knows this better than ebay since they own paypal.
You can expect fort knocks type of security once this new company takes over!!
Things will never be the same. This is 100% BAD for stealth, likely the end.

Once again, unless they do something drastically different than how they run on every other platform...this isn’t that big of a deal.

The thing is we can't predict the future. We have NO IDEA how EB will implement the Adyen system. It will be assumed it will be little different than how other Adyen powered operate.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves and assume this is the end of stealth. As others have pointed out repeatedly, there are always workarounds for most things.

Adyen has no new licensing, as I’ve checked, so they aren’t going to be too different in how they verify shops. eBay may do their own thing independently of it but Adyen isn’t changing at its core.

As a long time stealther that has not been around the forum for a while, I remember years back all the hype when PayPal first started asking for things to lift receiving limits.
Every time something new comes along there is the same questions & of course concern.
We always adapt, there will be a way to make this work... we are resourceful people!

Which is precisely the point I am making.
It means that if youre in the US youre fine but if youre outside the US you will NOT be able to use a stealth US based ebay account any longer as you will NOT have ANY way to cashout the funds. At least now you can still manage to get the funds out of paypal in certain way but with this new method there will be none.

I don’t really have a problem with this.

Youre missing my point.
If youre trying to sell using a US based ebay - on the ebay.com site - you will HAVE to have a US based bank account.
So implementing things this way essentially negates the possibility for anyone outside the US from utilizing the ebay.com as a stealth option - since they cannot add a US based bank account in order to get their payments cashed out.
As an accounts seller I can tell you that is a very substantial percentage of stealthers out there.

Open in your own country and do business as usual.

So is it Ayden that processes the transaction and gives the money to ebay then ebay pays you? or ebay will hold your money till satisfied then release it to ayden to pay you?

So adyen processes then holds your money till ebay is satisfied that you are legit?
Is that how it works on other sites?

The Trump attitude lol.
Plenty of goods in the Far East that US sellers do NOT have access to that are being sold on ebay by sellers in countries other than the US.
Guess we will have to agree to disagree on that.

As an accounts seller I can tell you that is a very substantial percentage of stealthers out there. | Doubt this would be the case, as this would eliminate Chinese sellers from their platform which constitutes a large part of their business (as you implied in the other post you just made)
Which would be good for us as American sellers, but bad for ebay on the whole.

But I somehow doubt it.
Bottom line - none of us know how it will work out. We have to wait and see.
