I sold cuttings from my weeping willow tree. I get an email from the buyer today telling me I sent him pussy willow cuttings. I don't have a pussy willow so that isn't possible. I advise the buyer he must have me confused with someone else because I don't have a pussy willow so I couldn't have sent him pussy willow cuttings. Today he says I was rude and opens a case wanting his money back. So I send another message explaining that it isn't possible that I sent him pussy willow cuttings. If this idiot escalates the case what are my chances of winning it?

Pictures won't make a bit of difference. EB won't even look at them. You could send pictures of absolutely anything, so they're meaningless.

Take the graceful way out and refund before this person damages your account.

OP, I think your chances are slim of winning this. But if I was you and wanted to try to beat this just based on the simple principle of "because you are not wrong" then I would call ebay and talk to a rep about this case before they escalate it. Does not matter if it is a stealth account or not, they will not try to ID you.

But if you call them then you are actually talking to someone who is listening to your side of the story and who can close the case in your favor if they are convinced of your story. This is stronger than just simply replying to the case via a message. It might not win the case but I definitely think it would help your chances much more than you may think.
