I think 4k is a hell of a lot of money and where I live 4 families or even more do live off 4k $ a month and not only a single man. |

| andi_bandi | 03-05-2018 01:03 PM | Re: Abandoning Ebay - Stress Levels not worth it? I'm only in my mid 20's and have a corporate job, I live in the UK and make 3500 per month, I think this is extremely decent for the UK, I can imagine how this might sound lousy for someone from the US, I know salaries can skyrocket there for various industries, but not as much in the UK.
I'm also married and have a toddler, so the perspective of working from home 1-3 hours and making roughly the same income or more was pretty attractive ( so I could take care of cooking, cleaning properly lol ), but I am being honest and I just could not handle all the stress and wake up that suddenly I have 5k blocked in paypal, when nursery, mortgage and all that **** won't "wait" for 6 months, but I am currently also working on the idea of doing my sells on my own platform, just working on my products before launching and will keep an ebay account to spam customers with coupons lol in their packages. |

It's a question of location, $4k in USA makes you king of the trailer park, whereas in Eastern Europe for example you will be a god :heh: | |
| ChezaChez | 03-05-2018 03:30 PM | Re: Abandoning Ebay - Stress Levels not worth it? Andi due to the UK selling laws if a customer wants to return an item or cancel an item within 14 days you have to accept the return.
So rather than making it difficult for yourself, when you get the return request send the customer a message ,ask if the item is still in its original packing ect, once they confirm it is unopened, provide the return address, the return address in no way shape or form has to be the dispatched address.
Sounds like your making things very difficult for yourself. I had Trading standards on to me once, I ignored them for two weeks then said I had, moved to the USA, and got my account switched to eBAY US and then used a virtual address in Florida, one of my customers actually sent a return to Florida, the virtual office takes a photo of the item for you, and asks if you want it forwarding or trashed. Anyway because my Account has a USA address I got restricted 4 weeks ago as they wanted VAT. Ive changed back to the UK site, got the restriction lifted with some photoshop proofs, and I'm back in business. Andi dont give up too soon. There is no way Id give up an account if it was a 5k a month, it all adds up :) |

I’ve dealt with Adyen systems for years and every platform it’s on requires one or the other. eBay may not require it out the gate like everyone else has, but I’d prepare to turn the info over. |
