Account Randomly Re-Instated after 3 Years
My original eBay Account was indefinitely banned all the way back in 10/2015. Main issue back then may have been too many refunds IIRC. I remember trying to unban the account in 2016, and eBay indicated it wasn't possible and account suspension was permanent. Through the years have used alternative business accounts whenever possible but mainly switched over to selling on Bonanza. However, just last month, eBay randomly sent me an e-mail indicating I had improved my seller performance and could now sell on eBay. Thought it was for an alt account before I read the header. At first, I didn't give it much thought, but after checking the account I realized that I indeed had real tangible selling limits (Previously 0/$0) of 100/$5000. The account also indicates "Above Standard" when it has always indicated Below Standard even into this year. I couldn't believe it, but I tried listing and indeed worked without a hitch. I'm now back up and running. Anyone else see this behavior? Hopefully the reinstatement is permanent, and currently I'm aiming to treat the account very gently to avoid any restrictions.
I've already hit my selling limits for this month. Ah I've missed how much easier sales come on eBay. Possibly the only concerning thing is that if I hit "Request higher selling limits" it gives me an error indicating I'm "Below Standard" even though it doesn't exist anywhere else on the account. |
