Default Return policy question

A buyer bought an item from me and opened and item not received case.
The item not received case timed out and closed.
The item arrived and the buyer opens a return case because the item got damaged. Im a private seller and I have a no returns policy, it says in the case that I can just deny the request.. but for science.. would he just then open a dispute in paypal and id be worse off then accepting the return?

I also have a unrelated query: Once ive sold an item, is it possible to see the items page (i.e. the description) as it was when it sold, as I tend to edit the same listings a lot.?

In theory you can deny the return, but usually you would get forced into it anyway so I would just accept the return and move on personally. Having said that your well within your right to fight it if you want just be aware if he paid via CC and wants to return it PayPal will force it

He could still try an item not as described case and force a return that way although potentially

You can't deny a SNAD case. Unless for some weird reason, the buyer that says he received a damaged thing, didn't open the return as a snad.

It is a return case he has open, he has previously opened and closed a not received case, and I thought you could only open 1 case and 1 return per transaction.

I know, but what was the exact reason he chose for the return case? And no, you can open two cases. They are for 2 completely different situations. You can't open the same case twice. But if you open a not received case, and then you receive it, but the thing is garbage, you'd expect to be able to open a return case for that garbage, right? Not saying YOUR thing is garbage, just giving a scenario example.

If it was damaged you have to accept it. You can reject it you want but it is not best practice. Ask the buyer to return the item and then refund them.

Yes, but I have the option to close the return case.. if I do this.. will he be able to open another case or will his only option be to open a dispute in paypal after that?

I will probably accept the return.. but id like to know where the other options would lead.

I don't understand. Did he open it as a remorse return? If you decline this return, he can open one on paypal.
