If there is genuinely no reason you can report the buyer, although I have had limited success with this.

If your listing a item already selling on eBay you can just save the image from the listing that way it will have the correct dimensions.

Contact the buyer and try to resolve the issue. Be nice. If he is a open for negotiations after that you can send him feedback revision request. Try it, you have nothing to loose.

What is it the feedback is saying?

Have they pointed to slow delivery or item not matching the description?

Its worth having a look at feedback that they have left for other people as well to see if they have a history of it

Well reporting them does no good, I had similar issue with negative feedback from a guy who said if I didn't give him a discount he would give me negative feedback, I didn't, he did and Ebay would not remove it. I even sent them screenshots of his demands.

That’s unusual

A lot of the time if you talk to them on the phone and provide evidence they will remove that sort of negative feedback

Reporting them does no good. I have only had success by matching the negative FB with a policy violation. There are specific instances that EB will remove, such as feedback extortion, making threats, etc. If they are making false claims about an item or the FB has nothing at all to do with the item that was sold, you might have a case for removal.

For example, I had one buyer win one of my auctions simply to leave a neg. This buyer didn't even pay, he left the neg literally minutes after the listing closed even before receiving it. Further to this, the comment had nothing to do with the item, it was simply malicious to damage my reputation. I checked this buyers FB he left and found he repeatedly left the same comment for other sellers as well.

Reporting this ******* didn't do squat.

I did call EB and got a good rep who sided with me and was able to remove the comment. I simply asked the rep to look at the fact his user left the SAME EXACT bad FB on several other sellers, plus the fact he didn't pay for the item or even received it at all.

Point here is to take a good look at the FB and ask yourself if it's a violation of policy.

I had one guy use the word f**k in my feedback, I called and complained, they did something about it all right - they removed the work f**k and replaced it with XXXX - that's right - 4 X's.

Left the rest of the review intact.

Good work, EB CSR! :(

I have not received a response although one of my friends said they put swear words on his feedback basically called him a c### t### and its still on there even after he complained! Surely its in the terms that this should mean a ban ?

That should definitely be removed, I can't imagine that has been investigated, I would imagine ebays bots would catch that as well.

I've also had little success with reporting unwarranted feedback. I've found it best to just block the buyer and move on :(

This is funny but not surprising.

Since the use of profanity is clearly a violation of their policy, you would think the EB CSR would just remove the entire comment since it was the "F word".

You would THINK, right?

This is eBay we are talking about.

Yeah, no. You need to call again. That is literally one of the main reasons why they would remove feedback.

Thinking and EB are oxymorons.

You get a 10% discount on final value fees if you are Top Rated + you meet all of the requirements for Top Rated Plus on your listings. You have to offer 30-day free returns currently in order to get the 10% discount. A lot of sellers have given up on maintaining Top Rated Plus status because of that requirement.

eBay usually gives you a freebie on the negative and will remove one as long as you provide a reasonable excuse but you have to call in to do that.
