What do you sell to warm up your accounts?

Hello Aspkin members!

So I am soon buying eBay Stealth and getting my own accounts. Though I want I really am trying to figure out is what I can sell to warm them up. So that's why I am asking: What do you sell to warm up your eBay and paypal accounts?

Yes, I know threads like this have been made before. I just feel like many of them are outdated and people are posting different things.

From my understanding so far after reading all these threads and posts I think it's like this:

ALL Electronics are bad to start with. It's just one of those categories that has high risk.

Just selling cheap items that you dropship from like aliexpress is also bad.

Selling home made things is a good way to warm up? Or is it? I can't remember the website were you could buy home made stuff like that.

Helping me clear all these things up is greatly appriciated! :bounce:

Nobody would say what they sell. Competition is already higher than the sky on almost all platforms!

I am not looking for someones "niche" that they found which are making them a bunch of money. I just want to know what to sell to warm up my accounts. Like I am even fine with losing some money just to warm up my accounts. :amen:

I sell the normal stuff that I always sell, just in smaller quantities than usual.

I mean after they are warmed up I want to sell mostly different electronics. So that wouldn't work for me :tears:

Try selling junk that you don't use around the use. Books, blurays, any clothing that isn't designer. Stay away from iPhones, designer brands, high-end electronics, etc. Basically low-cost items=low risk.

Obviously don't start up with $2k Samsung TV's but you can start with cheaper electronics. I started an account with auctions for $20 smartwatches a while back without issues. I used to use dollar store junk with the first couple of accounts I started (when I was being "extra careful") but I don't anymore. It's easier for me to sell 1 of an item I usually sell, wait for feedback, then sell 2 and wait for feedback, etc...

I typically warm up my new lower limit accounts with items I get from the Dollar Stores, surplus, or just some random crap I have lying around the house.

I think in terms of how "risky" a given item is before I post it. I also never list anything more than $20 USD for the first two or three items, but it's your FIRST item that's the MOST important. A mundane item such as a book, kitchenware, stationary, etc is good for that. Avoid anything collectible, electronic, or with a brand name on it.

I'm sure you have things around the house that you will sell at a garage sale, so sell those on eBay instead.

If what you sell normally is not branded, you can start by selling those items.

If it is branded (regardless if genuine or not), you need to start with cheap unbranded items.

Does that change anything if that item does not sold?
For example I list a book, and 30 days past no one buys it i can start selling higher risk items? Or does those items needs to be sold and also needs to get feedback from those sold items?

Re: What do you sell to warm up your accounts?

I start with comic books.
If youre starting up a few accounts you can go buy a full box of bagged and boarded books for $120 or so (at your local comic bookstore or any convention).
Same applies to baseball cards.
Then sell them for a buck each and offer free shipping.
You lose a few dollars but can easily establish yourself as a seller quite safely.

The item needs to sell. You should be adding tracking details. You need to be getting feedback from sales too.

This is what shows eBay you are dispatching items quickly + your customers are happy.

Listing items for sale, and them not selling, doesn't show eBay anything.
