| | What do you sell to warm up your accounts? Hello Aspkin members!
So I am soon buying eBay Stealth and getting my own accounts. Though I want I really am trying to figure out is what I can sell to warm them up. So that's why I am asking: What do you sell to warm up your eBay and paypal accounts? Yes, I know threads like this have been made before. I just feel like many of them are outdated and people are posting different things.
From my understanding so far after reading all these threads and posts I think it's like this: ALL Electronics are bad to start with. It's just one of those categories that has high risk.
Just selling cheap items that you dropship from like aliexpress is also bad.
Selling home made things is a good way to warm up? Or is it? I can't remember the website were you could buy home made stuff like that.
Helping me clear all these things up is greatly appriciated! :bounce: |

I just want to know what to sell to warm up my accounts. Like I am even fine with losing some money just to warm up my accounts. :amen: |

I started an account with auctions for $20 smartwatches a while back without issues. I used to use dollar store junk with the first couple of accounts I started (when I was being "extra careful") but I don't anymore. It's easier for me to sell 1 of an item I usually sell, wait for feedback, then sell 2 and wait for feedback, etc... |

| nickopedia | 10-15-2018 09:10 AM | Re: What do you sell to warm up your accounts? I typically warm up my new lower limit accounts with items I get from the Dollar Stores, surplus, or just some random crap I have lying around the house.
I think in terms of how "risky" a given item is before I post it. I also never list anything more than $20 USD for the first two or three items, but it's your FIRST item that's the MOST important. A mundane item such as a book, kitchenware, stationary, etc is good for that. Avoid anything collectible, electronic, or with a brand name on it. |

Re: What do you sell to warm up your accounts? If what you sell normally is not branded, you can start by selling those items.
If it is branded (regardless if genuine or not), you need to start with cheap unbranded items. |

For example I list a book, and 30 days past no one buys it i can start selling higher risk items? Or does those items needs to be sold and also needs to get feedback from those sold items? |

If youre starting up a few accounts you can go buy a full box of bagged and boarded books for $120 or so (at your local comic bookstore or any convention).
Same applies to baseball cards.
Then sell them for a buck each and offer free shipping.
You lose a few dollars but can easily establish yourself as a seller quite safely. |

You need to be getting feedback from sales too.
This is what shows eBay you are dispatching items quickly + your customers are happy.
Listing items for sale, and them not selling, doesn't show eBay anything. |

Yes. Comic books I always start off with. After 8-10 positive feedback received, I always got increase in number to 150 items I can sell in a month. Alas, I had one eBay account go down permanently recently after they increased it to 150. I started selling high risk items and was suspended. Appealed. Declined. No big deal. |

You lose a few dollars but can easily establish yourself as a seller quite safely. | I especially like this baseball card idea because they are really easy & cheap to ship; they can go in a regular #10 envelope, 1st class mail. You can sell a ton of them and rack up feedback/history easiliy which is what you really need to get traction going on a new account.
On my 10/500 accounts, I like to sell cheap (less than $5) items, then gradually increase it to $10, $25, $50 after a few weeks. This usually causes eBay to give those limit increases and make the account stronger so I can start selling more. |

Margins on some of these items are really nice (think 80%+ net) but if not properly researched, the competition will eat you alive. The adult section needs to be carefull researched, and in fact takes some extra work to do it right. |

Is it possible that I dropship comic books or baseball cards? And I am guessing if I can dropship I should not dropship from amazon? Cuz the box will say it's from amazon? Any solution to this? Thanks again! :thumb: |
