Integrating Adyen to Stealth eBay
 

As we all know , Adyen will be integrated to eBay

How do you guys forsee the integration to our stealth way of living?

1. They'll give you a test environment to see if it works out.
2. Screening / application takes about 5-7 days to approve
3. I told them I have 5 different ebay businesses that are not connected to each other, so eBay can't know the name on the Adyen accounts.

The CS told me that I can make 1 live Adyen account that covers multiple adyen merchant accounts each with different business names that corresponds to the eBay business name.

lemme guess to sign up you have to go the legit route meaning you need a ssn correct??? Where done well i'm done

EIN. Each account needs it's own business ID.

There won't be since you would have to register the EIN yourself.

Where did "mandatory in a few weeks" come from? I've been hearing Paypal will be an option until 2023.

Timeline
This is a multi-year journey, where we will be rolling out the new experience in a way that is least disruptive to our customers. Hmm based on my conversation with the rep it'd be one EIN for each business account.

Forgive me if not thinking correctly, its been a very long day.
What is the screening/application for 5 to 7 days approval?
With paypal and ebay mine was set up right away with actual info to sell and accept payments.
Will there be a down time for selling and receiving when we all are forced into ayden?

They basically check you out before granting you the OK to use their service. That's the screening and application process.

From what I gather because you don't just get to use adyen right away, yes, there'll be some down time. It seems that it'd be a couple of days longer compared to using paypal which usually takes about a day or so.

"Pure stealth accounts" will die and the only way forward will be using real business accounts, which most here don't do.

Good thing I thought upgrading to business was standard stealth procedure when I started.

I think the only way to get around and use stealth will be by supplying ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID documents to Adyen. Do you see any other way?

I do not.

And I don't think even that will work, unless they are real documents obtained fraudulently. If it's a 5-7 day application process that means they are digging deep into your selling practices, supplier information, and your personal identity.

Even with my merchant account the application process only took about 48 hours. 5-7 days is crazy. It seems like eBay is finally tired of stealth accounts, and they're getting rid of them.

The 5-7 days is the worst situation she said. It also depends on how long it'll take you to provide the docs.

The fastest takes about 2 days.

I’ve heard it was simple and easy verification process from someone on this forum who said they were opening stealth Etsy accounts and of course Ayden backs the payments for Etsy and apparently it was easier being verified by Ayden then PayPal. I’ll see if I can find the thread and post a link hear.

Etsy uses Ayden and it seems to be a non-issue.

I don't think eBay is tired at all from stealthers to begin with. There are hundreds of thousands of sellers, I can't imagine them digging deep into everyone.

After all, they can't be harder than Amazon in my opinion. PayPal has been accumulating sales statistics on eBay for decades... I wonder why they don't start their own marketplace!!!


One more thing to keep in mind is that PayPal has more than 18,000 employees while Adyen only has 880!! So logically they don't have as much staff to process people applications as does PayPal.

Yea for sure, Amazon is a whole different ball game as far as stealth goes. If you're good at Amazon on making accounts, you'll be fine with eBay with whatever they throw at you.

Will be game over in my opinion, I doubt they're envisioning your 'business names' being bill and ben the flower pot men who reside in different areas all across the US, may be a flag to them lol.

They're not going to stop me I have over 40 ebay and paypal accounts now.

You're missing the point. You won't be able to use any of your 40 accounts when they eliminate Paypal as a payment option unless you get 40 EIN's.

Too soon to say, but I highly doubt it. eB and PP were the same company until about a year ago so eB knows if you've been limited on PP. Even after the split they continued sharing info.

I'm sure if you tried, they would see during the Adyen application process that you've already been limited on PP, and probably deny your application.

Sure you can but you would have to go through an Adyen application for each EIN. It's actually going to make things quite a bit harder. And there will be no more selling junk/phakes "anonymously" using a stealth account with no attached bank.

So around July 2023 is when ebay sellers can not use paypal anymore right? We be forced
to use the new ebay payment system?
