MAC is level 2 traffic, internet is level 3 traffic.

Websites can't see the MAC of your NIC ports, router ports, modem port, switch ports.. any of them.

The Media Access Control (MAC) is at Layer 2. It's one of two sublayers that make up the Data Link Layer of the OSI model.

That said, there is no way eBay can detect this, as Phaz said above, the "network" is at Layer 3.
