How do you verify your phone number on eBay before listing items for sale?

When I list 1st item it asks to verify, but I want to verify when account is created.

you need to confirm your number before you can list. This is pretty standard on ebay for a while now

That's not how it works. Just confirm the number when you start listing.

Truly the easiest way is just list your first item then get the verification code

Yes. I have bought a few and now making a few for back ups

Have everything good to go ahead of time. So when they ask you can simply provide it without issues.
