Activity: 0% Longevity: 53% | | Adyen, what i have so far.
I posted this as a response to my original post but I felt like this needed its own thread. Please delete if not appropriate. I was invited to test Ayden on one of my accounts. A short time ago the PayPal was limited (apparently I was making to much money even though the account was 2 years old).
I was advised to create a business account which I finally got done yesterday. (I had to wait for copies of my LLC paperwork and the government took forever to fax them.
Here is where I am at. I haven't sent in the information yet. https://www.snapfish.com/photo-gift/...04070/SNAPFISH
They are asking for the beneficiary of the LLC. I have put down the stealth information and the last 4 of the EIN. However, I am the beneficiary of the LLC and the EIN is assigned to me. I don't think this will work. I found this online today also.
""On May 11, 2018, a new rule went into effect that requires financial institutions to gather additional information from legal entity (business) customers. The Certification Regarding Beneficial Owners of Legal Entity Customers requirement, or "Beneficial Ownership" for short, was created to help government and law enforcement fight money laundering and terrorism by identifying exactly who benefits from a company's revenue and who actually controls the goings-on within the business.
Because of this requirement, certain businesses opening new accounts (checking, savings, loans, etc.), adding some business services or renewing a loan or CD will have to provide identifying information on certain individuals within their organization. The person providing this information will sign a certification that the information they provided is correct to the best of their knowledge.""
So, the question is, will the stealth information work?
I did find this online ""LLC owners are known as “members.” LLC laws don't place many restrictions on who can be an LLC member. LLC members can, therefore, be individuals or business entities such as corporations or other LLCs. It is also possible to form a single-member LLC whose only owner is another LLC."
I guess this means I could form a separate LLC to add as the beneficiary of the first LLC? I went to my .gov website and the LLC application appears to allow either an entity name or an individual name.
As if my accountant didn't already hate me.

So . . . I'm chatting with an eBay rep regarding setting this up with another LLC as a beneficiary because when I went in to see if I could list another LLC as the beneficial owner it asked for a first and last name. She is having to ask her supervisor. https://www.snapfish.com/photo-gift/...78070/SNAPFISH

OK. The woman I chatted with on eBay spoke to her supervisor and he didn't have an answer either so they are forwarding this to an account specialist to ask them how to proceed.
This, of course, goes back to them only asking for the last for of the EIN and not the whole thing. Are they actually going to be able to check on anything with only that information?

For US this is expected, I'm looking forward to see how this will go in Europe, as it's much harder to verify.

I came up with the following information when I googled it. Out of 119 people, there is a 50% chance that two of them will have the same last 4 digits in their SSN. So no, you can’t be identified by the last 4 digits of the SSN.
Sites will frequently ask for the last 4 digits to identify you normally when they already have your SSN from doing business with you previously. The question is can they check and see who the beneficiary on my LLC is, or if they can, will they?
It sure would be helpful if the main moderator who created stealth could answer this as I expect he knows more about this than any of us.

Wow, seems like a communist tyranny IMHO. Maybe in the future people will have to prove that they took a $hit last night before they are eligible for a meal the next day.
The irony is that sheeple are asleep and this madness won't stop until some people stand up and do something about it.
Behind every predatory legislation is the word "terrorism" & "money laundering". None of this of will stop the two, because if someone has enough will to commit a crime nothing would stop them.

If they are already laundering money they will commit fraud to do it. The thing is they don't actually have to as that is not really how money laundering works. To launder money you create a business front and run the money through that business through what looks like legit transactions. You just have to keep those transactions under 2000 dollars each to keep banks and the government from looking at them. I don't launder money by the way. I watched Breaking Bad, Ozark, and I used to work in customer service for Wells Fargo and we had to report any extra payments over 2000 dollars.

Billions of dollars got washed through cryptos in the last couple years. Don't get the government wrong, they were able to get the Nazis. If big brother wants to stop money laundering, they will, but they don't want to.
The real goal behind these Legislations is total control over people.
If you block someone from banking, that person is technically paralyzed. Look at what happened to Alex Jones and how the tech cartel suffocated his income in a heartbeat.
Some people here believe that eBay and Amazon are private companies and they should have the absolute power to ban someone. I don't agree, people spend years building their accounts (which become their main source of income) and then out of the blue some ******* at eBay decides to flush all that work down the toilet. I think a f**king legislation should be passed to ban this communistic behavior.
The tech cartel must be dealt with, but I think I am dreaming...

Alex Jones is a know figure in the US. He got de-platformed from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Apple Store and a bunch of other networks.
The guy used to do a lot of crazy talk (which made sense some of the time because he used to mix truth with conspiracy theories). He used his show to spread fear from the water you drink...etc and then advertised water-filters & vitamins. Some of his ex-employees claimed there had been days where they processed 500+ orders an hour.
Alex had his thing running very well until he decided to poke his nose into the 2016 election. The guy has really had a negative impact on Hillary Clinton and turned a lot of people against voting for her. After Trump won, the bosses of the tech-cartel gathered and decided to kick Alex off every major platform because they realized he had too much influential power over a lot of people who believed in him (that's my opinion).
They basically blocked him from reaching new people. He has a loyal audience for sure. But nowadays, if you are not on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, you're pretty much f**ked if you're trying to reach the public.

Regardless of whether you hate Alex or like him. I think everyone should be grateful for the work he has done. Alex's problem is that he mixes true conspiracy theories with some crazy ****, that gives the impression that the theory itself is bull****.
He talked about a lot of legit things going on. The 9/11 job for example |

If this is the process every small person ahs to go through to sell a bunch of household items he has lying around I just don't see it working. Opening a business for eBay's benefit for the purpose of selling a few used items I have lying around? Never going to happen.
Theyre going to have to rethink this whole thing or the only sellers they'll have left are the massive ones - which perhaps is the whole point. On the other hand this will put power in the hands of these massive sellers who can then try to band and dictate terms to ebay themselves.
Should be interesting to see how this whole thing develops.

Sellers will never have the power to dictate any terms whatsoever. As long as eBay & Amazon are the only game in town, this will be the case.

What drives action and change is numbers and revenue- the bottom line. If these two marketplaces start seeing declining profits as a result of some action (such as switch to Managed Payments) you can nearly be assured there will be changes somewhere.
If eBay starts squeezing small sellers out, or making it that much harder to sell there, then those same sellers will just end up elsewhere. Perhaps we need to see a paradigm shift in the way ecommerce is done in the USA. I see that change in the later in the not too distant future. Amazon and eBay will no longer only major shakers in town when that happens.

I thought the only thing keeping eBay afloat was it differentiating itself as being more of a bargain, discount / flea market type marketplace.. a haven for small sellers that grants them easy access to a selling platform. A wild west compared to amazon.
But it seems with the managed payments system, they are taking amazon head-on in amazon's own selling space, which just sounds stupid to me. They will never win. I could be wrong, but I just do not see it.

I could be wrong, but I just do not see it. | I always thought of eBay as a place you can score bargains or unique items, second hand goods- more like a rummage or garage sale. At least, traditionally that was the case.
My belief that eBay is feeling financial pressure especially after the PayPal split to increase profits for it's shareholders. I think they are trying to capitalize on some of Amazon's model, and think they can only keep the largest and best sellers. The smaller sellers will be kicked off, or just don't want to deal with having to sign up for Managed Payments at all. I don't see that as a bad thing, as it will just drive those people away from eBay and onto other selling platforms, some of which are not yet firmly established, but can grow out of nowhere.

My brain can't figure out why the f**k doesn't PayPal start its own marketplace. They have mined the data for decades. A gold mine is waiting to be tapped by PayPal, but only if someone decides to go ahead and do it.
They need to bring in the top people working there, have a closed meeting, draft the plans for a marketplace that will give relieve to sellers that suffered the horrors of both eBay and Amazon.
I am dead sure they have all the know-how on how to start such a project and make it a damn model for success.
