There are sellers who dont have bank accounts or do not want to use their bank account to receive sales proceeds from online sales .
With AMZN and Etsy,they dont have a choice.
But with Ebay /Paypal they can keep their fund in the paypal account,use the PAYPAL debit card to go shopping,if they use that debit card as a credit card,Paypal gives them 1% cash rebate.
they can also use that card to withdraw cash from ATM.
There is another Paypal MC debit card which you have to pay a fee each month,you can link it to your Paypal account and move money back and forth.
You would be surprised or not surprised many folks do not have bank account,it requires minimum balance,limit of 6 free withdrawals per month,NSF is $35 or more.

I called paypal last week. A supervisor said the seller can either use adyen or paypal to receive funds on Ebay. He said paypal will never go away on Ebay, and adyen will not be mandatory in the future.

That actually makes more sense since Ebay's alternative gateways have dispersed into more independent merchants since authorize.net fallout.

My reply is to PAYPAL haters and lovers,why Paypal is no longer the only payment processor on Ebay.
