| | | | | Lucynda | 02-28-2019 11:21 PM | Adyen is using Cleartax to verify identity. I'm looking at this. it says it wants to check your KYC identity and has a section where it says you can check and see if you are KYC compliant. Do become KYC compliant they want you to submit the following items
Documents required for KYC
Investors need to submit the following documents along with their Know Your Client application form and a passport size photograph.
a. ID Proof: PAN Card, Driving License, Passport copy, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card or bank photo passbook.
b. Proof of Address: Recent landline or mobile bill, electricity bill, passport copy, recent demat account statement, latest bank passbook, ration card, Voter ID, rental agreement, Driving License or Aadhaar card.
I know there are people on these forums that sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ versions of these but the question is do they verify them?
I'm also confused because I called Ayden a few weeks back and they said because my account was through eBay I would never have to submit an ID. |
| slokor | 02-28-2019 11:24 PM | Re: Adyen is using Cleartax to verify identity. I highly doubt they will request this from every person wanting to sell something on ebay. It makes no sense for them to try doing that as it will 'kill' the whole attempt to switch to adyen before it ever began. |
| Lucynda | 02-28-2019 11:30 PM | Re: Adyen is using Cleartax to verify identity. I think the fact that my account had 1000 dollars in deposits in 5 days was probably an issue. Paypal would do the same thing. I didn't think it would be an issue since it was an established eBay account.
Just wondering if it's possible to establish a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID with Cleatax using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs. |

| Lucynda | 02-28-2019 11:39 PM | Re: Adyen is using Cleartax to verify identity. This is just crazy. From the looks of this, you get your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs, build an online presence for them, maybe a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ credit report (I learned how to do that yesterday, crazy easy) and then this KYC check thing says hey, this is a real person. |
| Lucynda | 02-28-2019 11:41 PM | Re: Adyen is using Cleartax to verify identity. it would probably be a good idea for all of us to start building ⊗⊗⊗⊗ online profiles for our ⊗⊗⊗⊗ identities now. |

Lucynda is trying to get a stealth account with an LLC working with it. |

Nobody has time for this or wants to give this much info. |

Nobody has time for this or wants to give this much info. | Facts!!
That's why I'm not trippin. I know eBay needs "us" just as much as we need them. The day eBay requires ID/SSN to sell will be the death of eBay. They need to stay in their own lane. |

Not even close. There are single sellers on there nowdays that probably outsell as small sellers combined.
The whole point of eBay is PROFIT. No matter what... |

For people just setting up accounts to sell some things from around the house, I kinda see this as a non-issue because they won't be worried about their info being linked to old shut down accounts. Slokor sells accounts so this is probably going to be an issue for him. It's going to make his business more complicated.
However, if Beautiful over on the Amazon side of thing can create successfully verified Amazon accounts (which do require photo Id's and documents) then I'm sure eBay account sellers can too. The biggest problem I see with that is the EIN because you can't sell an EIN, but I think you can update it. |

Not really. eBay is growing and becoming more attractive to consumers. Btw, eBay still has the kind of traffic that will bring you big sums of money if you know what and where to sell.
Sellers are being beaten up by Amazon day and night, maybe there will be an exodus somewhere in the future  who knows! |

The whole point of eBay is PROFIT. No matter what... | That's 100% not true. You are severely underestimating the "small sellers". eBay is as dependent on small sellers as they are on eBay. There isn't one seller on ebay making even a fraction of the "small sellers" combined. Of course there are high volume sellers who make up a large percent of the marketplace, but they are outnumbered 1000 to 1 on eBay. "Small sellers" are at least half of the marketplace and the only reason ebay still exist. If they weed the small sellers out not only will they lose a huge percentage of their sales, it will start a trickle down effect that will slowly be the death of ebay. People shop on ebay for deals. No small sellers = no deals. People will stop buying on there and you get the rest right? lol If you think large companies are concerns about the future of ebay your mistaken. Of course they are going to sell on ebay because it's sales they don't wanna miss out on. But why would a company like Foot Locker pay the huge fees and deal with the ridiculous buyer protections when they can sell on their website with no fees and able to make their own regulations? Or on Amazon that does 10x the business ebay does? That's why I'm not freaking out about what's to come with eBay. If they go the route of verifying each seller like amazon, me and many others will take our business elsewhere. I know that we have products that people want to buy and can make a profit on. Those customers will still be out there. It's all about finding out how to get to them. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:16 PM. | |
