Why don't mid sized eBay companies not worry about being banned?

I finally realized that no matter how good of a seller you are on eBay, you can have perfect feedback and almost not cancelations and eventually you too are going to get banned. eBay , Amazon or any other marketplace is unstable. Having multiple accounts is the LEAST you can do. We need government regulations that uphold eCommerce companies to the same standards brick and mortar business do.

Govertment cant protect you if you dont follow the rules and Ebay/AMZN and PAYPAL have plenty of rules,esp Ebay.
The rules favors the buyers more,so we have to make sure to make enough to offset some losses,it aint easy given the margin .

Do you know when I realised eBay and Amazon are genuinely unstable for longevity ... when Peter Jones on Dragons Den said we need to build a website so you can sell your products outside of eBay. This was to a business that was doing 1 million in sales on ebay.

Ebay is good for fast money or "while it's good" you do eventually need to venture out. Or if you are a small time seller, have another job.

Trust me, we DO NOT need more government regulations in the marketplace.
Government can't even do their job well as it is. They usually manage to F-k up anything they touch, especially congress.

If you want a better marketplace, then START ONE yourself. If it's any good, people will come.

-first we need retail license
-second we need commercial checking account and merchant account to accept credit card.
-we have to sign long lease with the landlord
-we have to pay monthly maintenance fee for upkeep of common ground
-we have to face shoplifting vs item not received.
-we need to hire part time or full time help to manage our store
-store wont be open 24/7.
-we could be robbed,killed or raped !
-we need to buy insurance in case someone tripped and fall

Unless you're a wholesaler or a supplier you're stuck selling on the major online retail platforms.

That transition would cost a lot of money.

Best to catch a new wave and try to go big.

Some AMZN third party sellers only exist on AMZN,they have less overhead and store is always open.
so it is all up to individual sellers.
I would rather pay Ebay than paying GOOGLE search
