Neg Feedback Removal- Clothing Not Fitting

I sell clothing on eBay and even though I include measurements and item specifics, I still get return requests every now and then because clothing doesn't fit.

If I decline the return and they leave negative feedback- does anyone know if it can be removed?

You would have a hard time. eBay will pretty much always make you accept a return. That is just how it is these days, even if its clearly the buyers fault for changing their mind.

You can't really decline the return - only eb knows if the feedback can be removed - could be tough...hit-or-miss.

It's a does not fit return and I have the option the decline it. But because of negative feedback possibility- I always feel like I have to accept the return. Most of the time I accept them even if I don't have to- but the reason on this one is a little ridiculous.

Probably going to accept the return though. Anyone else feel like you can go a month or two without getting any returns and then out of nowhere you get bombarded with them?

When I listed clothing before, I always put in the description that I do not accept returns out of change of mind, and 'not fitting' them. I can easily dispute the negative feedback thru the description of my listing. Works 99% of the time.

There are only two ways of removing the feedback: The easy way, and the hard way.

The easy way involves contacting your buyer and (very nicely) requesting a revision.

You can also request to eBay assuming you can convince them to remove based on a violation of their "Feedback Policy".

The last option, and the most difficult involves serving a formal "Notice of Defamation" to eBay's Legal Department. This is also a process, and if done correctly, nearly ensures the feedback can be removed, but it's not as simple as it sounds.

My advice to you is to just accept the return, be professional and hope they are happy and still leave you a positive feedback.

They will get their refund regardless from eBay, so make it easy on yourself.

It is the nature of your business when it comes to clothing- clothes sometimes fit and sometimes no and customers don't pay attention.
Accept it and be professional.
Imagine you are the most successful company in the world.

Clothes are the highest returned item. You will need to allow for many things not fitting if you sell them. It could be the fit itself and not the size.

If you declined their return request, a buyer can just contact eBay and tell them your items are not true to your measurements in the listing.

What is going to eventually happen is cases are going to get escalated, your defect rate is going to go up, and you risk your account going below standard.

Unfortunately measurements are good to reduce your return rate on clothing but don't make you immune to returns. Best to just accept the returns and provide the best customer service possible.

measurement does not always work,you can have small breast but thick waist and narrow hip and heavy thigh ,low waist,short waist,sloping shoulders etc.
you couldbe selling a sack,but you will still get returns.
if you get Ebay involved toomany times,you could end up paying 14% substandard seller fee.
I sell a certain designer brand clothes,the buyers know the size and material and color well,so no return.
but it does not mean there wont be any in the future
