As of end of March,it has issued 6 billions dollars less in tax refund compared to March of last year !

This has got to be the worst week or two weeks ever, it's like all buyers left the face of the earth - absolutely nothing sells, aside from one item in 2 weeks. Something is really wrong with this economy, I don't care what the dirtbag politicians say. Recovery this, recovery that - where is it? Things have only gotten steadily worse. Also noticed an uptick in returns for ⊗⊗⊗⊗ reasons. If this keeps up, I don't know how many people can pay even the most basic bills.

I don't think there is any recovery , people have less money and force sellers into a race to the bottom , there are some sellers that can afford it and others that can not. I think this pressure will remain long term as I do not see any basis for recovery

it is going to get worse when tariffs kick in on April 2.
Weather is not helping,we are expecting below zero temperature tonight .
Auto and Homeowner insurance are both moving up,makes no difference which state you are in.

the main reason is that money is harder to obtain , people are already in debt , interest rates are high but for the normal folks the official interest rates do not even matter because they have additional restrictions with much higher burden

and of course the overall rate of inflation is draining people's wealth. and most importantly there is no way back , trump will end the ukraine war , will not have a problem to give most of ukraine to russia but the damage inflicted by biden admin and their EU puppies is already done and is irreversible

these idiots discredited the western financial system and western currencies so much that an enemy could not have done better. they would deserve to be charged with high treason for this alone

Besides their credit cards,they are using BMPL-buy now pay later.
It is available on Etsy,even WMT accepts it now.
Unlike other nations,Americans do not save,they have their credit cards,they save via Social Security ,but the money aint available until one retires or becomes disabled.
Some things sell on Ebay,I just bought some ink cartridges for my printer,some sellers sell coffee pods past expiration date,they are still good

nowadays manufacturing is not that labor intensive anymore , moving production back would decrease dependence on other countries but it is questionable what will be with wages and employment , the economy today is different from what was 50 years ago

Yes, perhaps only required supplies. I have never seen it this bad - something is very wrong. Whether it's the stock market, people just scared to spend, no funds or all of the above. Returns also go through the roof when this happens, then later a few things sell, returns drop off, then the cycle continues...

I myself have had to take advantage of gaypals pay in four plan just to order supplies it's so bad..

Wish it was just gloom and doom. When week after week goes by and there are no watchers, no sales, it may be time to dump egay and move inventory to Etsy. Etsy has been barely paying my bills but at least it's something. They have completed destroyed egay.

In my experience, this is correct for me at least. Here in Canada ebay is rarely used IMO.
I still do ok on ebay though but when i was killing it a few years back, i could not re-stock quick enough of what i was selling. I just think buyers and sellers have just walked away from ebay now, it's got so ridiculous just to sell a couple of legit used items (ID, Bank account, waiting 30-60 days for the payout) disgusting really

You may have a point with customers moving to Amazon because of this - I have had sellers on egay mark up items then just drop-ship from amazon, packaging and all. Makes me order direct from amzn as well. Etsy sales have not been great, but enough to float us while egay stagnates. Amazon would be more volume I'm sure, but not worth the hassle and headache, not to mention the fees and insurance crap....

drop is not only because of ebay complicated and hard seller policies , i believe that buyers also are lacking in money
