Sold something on eBay and now guys trying to say there broken and it’s not the idea

His guy trying to say I sent broken headlight and there his mine were new that I sent ebay is refunding him I don’t have prof that those are not my headlight what will happen if I don’t pay ebay back

when he said item is not as described,Ebay withholds the payment from your PAYPAL account,you can either refund him or send him a shipping label for return,when returned,money is returned to him.
shipping cost will be charged to your seller account.

If he sends a different broken headlight..welcome to e-commerce. More times than not newer accounts are targeted for these type problems. Don’t sell and ship what you can’t afford to loose. Customer is almost always going to win so do like Aspkin says and spread it thin.

look at your Paypal account,did Paypal withhold that payment?
if you have already transferred the fund out of paypal,and there is nothing to withhold,then you have a negative balance,any thing you sell in the future,the payment would be used to offset this negative balance until it turns neutral.
In the mean time,if you dont respond,buyer can get Ebay involved,Ebay will side with him,send him a return shipping label.
when he used that label,Ebay will charge the cost of that label to your seller account.
when tracking shows it has been returned to you,fund is released back to him and you get one strike for getting Ebay to do the dirty work for you.
3 strikes,your selling career is over.

Not a new issue at all - happens to quite a few of us. Returns are part of the sale life sadly

better just refund him,instead of EBAY asking him to return a broken light,then you end up paying return shipping and getting back something you cant resell.
