Re: ebay
The early ones may have breached a million dollars gross profit,if they are selling wide range of goods like collectibles, antiques, cameras, scanners,PC,laptops and accessories.
They worked 14-16 hours a day.most have good sources for their goods.
dropshipping was allowed, you just have to know the wholesalers/distributors for electronic goods.
and where to find the old stuff.
My neighbors checked into nursing homes, their son came to clean up their house,it turnd out he owns the house and disgusted that his father never throw anything away for over 60 years, worse, everytime someone brought out their garbage,he will pick up some items worth salvaging.
He hired 2 guys to tear down the shed and hauled away the stuff,a beer bottle in the shape of a monkey, many older plastic toys, hurricane lamps,Mardi Gras tokens and beads, coca cola trays ,even old aluminium and wrought iron pots and pans and cake molds and rusty cowbells ,they were all bidded up .
The money are in the electronic goods,as people want to sell online, they need scanners and cameras and lighting.pc,laptops.
Remember pc with intel inside??
They also need books on collectible price guides,so booksellers clean up as well
Remember cabbage dolls, biddings were fierce, one father intended to build his kid's college fund around cabbage dolls.
Listing was 5 cents,FVF is like 5% and you can bid on your auctions and there was no Paypal, you can ask for cash, check, postal or money orders.
