Default Best way to respond to "where do you get items from"

Hi,

So I've seen a lot of people report when an account is limited, that ebay customer services will ask where they source the items from.

What is the best response to this as I've seen people have mixed levels of success.

For instance I was asked the same thing when selling branded items and I provided some receipts but this was ultimately rejected by ebay as sufficient proof.

It was not a vero takedown and more likely a disgruntled buyer (or competitor).

How do I approach this sort of Q in the future?

This info should not be provided to you in public. eBay reps are reading these posts.

I am afraid it is not disgruntled buyer or competitor,it is the brand owner

The ebay agent confirmed it was not the brand owner though?

Tell them you go to estate sales and that you purchase what you sell from there on eBay, a lot of people do that.

Say you bought it at a liquidation warehouse.. And then cook up some invoices if they ask for it.

It depends on how good your cooked invoices are and how thorough the Ebay agent does his job

I also recommend telling them that you got the items from liquidation.
