Your only argument is that the carrier stole the item or it slipped out of the package.
You need to ask your carrier.
I am afraid you just have to eat the loss,if the carrier gives you something,it is better than nothing.
Ebay robot will refund him after checking the tracking status,then you can appeal and a human will look at your case .

It was only $300 and we all learned some important lessons. Forget about it. Focus this energy on future business and don't use global shipping program again. This is like shoplifting, you have been victimized, plain and simple. With paypal/ebay if you sell something, if for any reason whatsoever customer wants their money back you could be responsible for return shipping.

It wasn't always like this. I am in the US and 10-15 years ago I had many customers in many countries. Could even send things without tracking. If there was a problem we could work something out. I highly recommend the movie Idiocracy

These things happen. This thread is active 2 weeks now, forget it and go make money.

dont just blame it on GSP,it could be any form of shipment.
if buyer wants to scam,he will-return a box of rocks,empty envelopes,claiming unauthorised transaction,extortion,rerouting etc

I returned a bag of dirt, do a guy knowingly selling counterfeits as real :D. $1000 watches. I've always wondered if the guy is on here lol. He goes through stealth accounts by the dozens.

For some reasons,as a buyer I have more luck on Ebay than Etsy,may be this has changed.
Etsy sellers selling gold coin,gold bar,gold jewelry will post pictures,take your money ,spent it on rent,hospital bills etc,by the time you file a case,they have free use of your money for almost a month
