You are an online seller who knows how to shop online. Many categories on Amazon and eBay are full of contraband items.
To be honest, I would love to see the situation kept as it is today because I am profiting from it by selling Chinese made stuff.
Brands are predatory in terms of pricing and customers are more than happy to find affordable "Chinese" stuff online.
The Trump approach to this will backfire and this wasn't a wise way to deal with this, counterfeiting is soon to be a 2 trillion dollar industry so it is more lucrative than illicit drugs and arms trade combined. You do the numbers and figure out if Trump can stop this.
Had the war on drugs worked? That answer also applies to the question of counterfeiting.

war on drugs is a completely different situation. The people that want drugs, will buy drugs.Making it illegal, just made it worse.
The point of all this tho, is to prevent ⊗⊗⊗⊗ being sold as real. If you subjugate ⊗⊗⊗⊗ to the black market, it will kill off the industry, because they rely on people paying extravagant prices for products that are ⊗⊗⊗⊗, because they don't know it's ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Unlike drugs, you can't sell $100 worth of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ weed for $2000, the way you can with a $100 ⊗⊗⊗⊗ watch. Destroying their ability to sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ to people that think it's real, on legitimate venues, would DESTROY the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ market. Do not conflate the two situations.

40% of the products sold on Amazon are counterfeits, so shutting that down will crash Amazon's stock price and drive investors away. | Hopefully this will blow over they need to worry about other concerns then ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items. As the buyers want to buy ⊗⊗⊗⊗ item so be it if they want to buy authentic item so be it.
It all comes down to the buyer's money and expenses that's on them.

It is not VERO or brand complain, it is eBay and they are wiping everyone out without a notice even if you are a genuine seller. Category is clothing.

all clothing or certain designer clothing.
what I mean in my last post is that like AMZN who now sell AAPL products so it banished AAPL refurbished sellers,Ebay could ban all used designer clothes if that designer or dept stores which sell his clothings come to sell on Ebay.
Say ifRalph Lauren who has its own website,if it decides to open a store on EBAY,it does not want to see individual selling his clothings on Ebay.
Say can be said of NIKE,ADIDAS,Louis Vitreon,Coach

You know sales venues could be held liable for counterfeits and knockoffs, even FBA will be classified as ultimate consignee when goods are at their warehouse not yet sold to consumers.

I used to sell watches on there, then one day " oh, Seiko is now selling on here, so you can't". Then " oh, etc is selling on here, now you can't". Until all the watches I sold, were sold by manufacturer. lol

To be fair though, they will purchase more farm products from the US, but they won't jeopardize their factories to appease nobody and there is no way to force them to do it.
Anyway, I truly think this whole trade war had one goal after all, that is to force China to open its market to financial firms and to buy more US products. |
Yea Aint nobody worried...The show will press on...Too much money to make..

ebay is cracking down on return rates for not as authentic, i heard that through a little birdie... high return rate as counterfeits are immediately getting accounts suspended after review. So that's different than years past.
