I've received vero hits many, many times on the same account with real info for using copyright images in other products. I would just lay low for a little while and then move on to something else.

Falken's Post above is 100% accutate
You Must remember that VERO is an Ebay PROGRAM designed to to allow Companies to protect their products. This means ANYTHING can be VERO including the pictures and/or TEXT in your Ads, Depends where you got them.

Some companies simply DO NOT want there products on Ebay.
These are normally Hi End, very expensive products. Most Companies want to make sure
that the items (or CERTAIN company items) are legit.

Whenever you get a VERO Voilation form Ebay, you should also be contacted by a representative from the Company (sometimes Trademark Infrigment/Copyright Lawyers).
If Not, Ask Ebay for the VERO Members contact info, and contact them. You will most likely (Depending on the item) have to provide actual photos, bills, recipts, ect, ect. Once they are satisified Ebay will clear your account. If you want to continue to sell the item it is always best to prove that you purchased it in bulk from an Authorized Company Distributor/Wholesaler/Representative, and Ask THEM, not EBAY if can or can't
continue to sell the item, they will tell you what you need to do.

As for the Hi End items, U.S. Law changes DRAMATICALLY if the item is Used, Like New, whatever, as long as the item is NOT being sold to someone who believes (in ANY way) that He/She will be the first INDIVIDUAL owner. You may still have a VERO problem, but FAR less likely. In this case you will have to give up some profits, and be VERY, VERY careful how often you list these items.

I have had a lot of personal experience with all of these issues over the years.

There is a LOT, LOT more to this, Do your HOMEWORK on the products you want to sell.

If you have any Questions, reach out for me, If I can help, I will.

Hey all .. I am new to this forum please give clues teaching.

Today I have received in from ebay:attention:
What should I do to save my acc?

Your selling privileges have been temporarily restricted because of a recent policy violation. You won't be able to list new items for thirty (30) days. You're also not allowed to register a new account during this time.

Please be assured that your account has *not* been suspended. At this time, you still have full account access. You can continue to:

- Send email
- Obtain shipping addresses
- Leave Feedback
- Perform other administrative tasks

Your account will no longer be restricted after 30 days.

alphonsus2010 05-01-2010 07:11 AM

I've been vero-ed by ebay too. Twice. in 2 weeks.

I should have seen aspkin.com a long time ago.

hotsassylips 05-19-2010 12:07 PM

They just hit me with a Vero Violation... But the thing is it was a sold item and the listing has been finished for 2 months now. :noidea: It was in my archive and i didn't even know what in the world they were talking about. Are they going to do this too all of my archive listings that i sold already. I haven't had any new listings on that account for about 2 weeks.

Just be cool for the 30 days, and DO NOT sell whatever it is that got you in this mess in the first Place, also AVOID selling any VERO Items.

Thanks for the info!

Does anybody know where to find the complete list of VERO items? I don't want my early auction listings on 0 feedback accounts to be removed

slapped 07-22-2010 10:05 AM

There is no list of VERO Items, on Ebay however you can Find a List of VERO Members,

boxcutters 07-26-2010 06:08 PM

If your item(s) gets taken down due to a VERO violation

Does your ebay account get suspended?

slapped 07-26-2010 11:24 PM

At some point, Depending on how many Violations you have in a Particular time frame

fingerz 07-29-2010 08:50 PM

wtf is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ??!?!?! And why if VeRO doesnt mean counterfit Ebay makes you do a TUTORIAL about selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗?

fingerz 07-29-2010 08:52 PM

Vero hit me with skull candy headphones I was selling. The items were 100% legit and I contacted vero about it. They always leave contact info. After not hearing anything I spoke to online ebay rep and told her I wanted to file a counter notice. She seemed a bit shocked, but agreed and stated just copy and past the filled-out report to the original vero removal and hit reply. Within a day I was contacted by the marketing director of skull candy and he wanted proof. I over did it by sending him 15 angles of the authentic item and 3 invoices from Best Buy at below wholesale rate.

The next day I left messages on his voice mail. Don't let these bullies bully you!

Third day he actually had the guts to say that the price I paid makes it seem even more suspicious that they are ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and that he would contact best buy.

I simply returned that it is his right however I have already filed a counter notice and he has 7 days remaining.

After this the email was kinda nice. Something about being patient and protecting products.

The fourth day I got an email from ebay. Stated they got the Counter notice however it should have been faxed or mailed. Although they decided to accept it anyway and forward it to Vero - skull candy, and since I was instructed to do it this way and if they do not respond within the 10 alloted days my listing will be put back up and my violation removed. unless Skull candy files in court to stop it..

Well its been a about 7 days now the weekend. I expect to hear something by Monday.

I had this with snuggies once and they were nive noughto inquire first without removing listings. I sell $6000-$7000 a month. When I was selling a couple hundred they wouldnt even look at me.

Better yet if you can use some other REAL image if you can then modify that photo. change size. change what you can. always save the photo in a new name too. I havent ever been slammed doing that. its always worked. if you use same photo they will kill you every time.

I sell some "items" on ebay that are vero and this is what I do and never had a problem until paypal decided to be judge and jury.........

1. I list them as used but in new condition
2. I go to the authorized store and buy them.
3. I copy the receipt and take pictures.
4. I return the item to the store.

Kizz my azz ebay.
