Default buyers email from ebay

have you guys noticed that now when buyers asks a question, you can no longer see the buyer's email address. perhaps ebay did this to prevent outside of ebay sales

It started in USA a few days ago. It actually has been tested running this way in other countries for quite a long time.

I think it is an option that ebay allows you to hide your email address. I thought I saw that option anyways.

That's what I thought.

The customer has the option whether they want to hide their email address or not.

That Hide Email option is no longer there. eBay's taking over it.

When buyers send a message to seller, they will see the following:

Note: eBay will send your message to the recipient's My Messages Inbox and email address. If you and *** haven't bought or sold from each other recently, both of your email addresses may be substituted with an anonymous email address to protect your privacy and online safety.
eBay may block or delay messages that may be fraudulent or violate our policies.

When seller gets a message from someone never done any transaction recently, the buyer's email displays like this for example:

s05-8tgxopegfkd@members.ebay.com

That sucks considering the way I conduct my ebay business.

Obviously, they are doing this to cut down on any outside ebay sale activity's.

That's not how it screws me.

I hate, I mean love, I mean hate, I mean, eBay is sooo great!! Their other company Paypal is even better. Paypal RULES!!! Yea! LOVE EM! F-er's!

Yea they do like to monitor that so people can't do transactions out of ebay. They look for suspicious stuff in messages.

Generally, I doubt they monitor these emails, there are way too many. They may have a auto delete for like email address formats or a word/phrase filter (eg. plan to burst in and taser trust n safety)

Ive never had a problem answering these emails, and done a few side deals too..
