ebay noting computer via live help..what are they tracking exactly?

I saw the tracking sticky above and read the article on how ebay is going to make note of your computer...

Well I just went through this Live Help confirmation tonight on a XP based machine with multiple windows user accounts and multiple ebay screen names running off it....I gave them the info they asked for and all was well and was granted access to continue listing an item on a 5yr old low fb account.

So is everthing ok still switching user names on windows and changing ip ect...? Im running dial up and getting a new ip everytime. It also seems as though they are really asking for confirmation pin calls a lot now even with older accounts.

Thanks in advance for any help! I just didn't want to sign into my other accounts on the other user names until I checked with you guys (and ladies).

livehlp cant do anything that logging on to ebay doesnt do already...they are just throwing a cookie at you, which you can delete, it helps them track you mainly to recognise you next time you use that PC or user screen....ok if you have seperate user screens , no good it you have multiple accounts and use same screen - delete...
