So I sold an item and buyer paid but before I could dispatch I got a Vero and eBay removed the item from my listings.(after it sold and was paid for) i can see this has been paid but I can't get the sellers address also can't refund the buyer. what do I do? Refund throug PayPal? Do nothing?? Help always appreciated.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Buyer's address is in the paypal notification you received.
Make sure to add tracking as ebay would have notified the buyer that the item has been removed.
This may prompt the buyer to contact eBay for a refund.

This mat prompt the buyer to contact eBay for a refund.
What's so dumb about this is that the email specifically advises the buyer to wait for their item if they have already paid for it, yet 90% of them will open a dispute in short order.
I've received this email before so I know what it says. I actually questioned one buyer on why he opened a dispute and he claimed that the email told him to do so, but I know for a fact that's not the case and when I told him this he went silent.
I would refund through PayPal - eBay has a habit of just issuing refunds to people when an item is taking down by Vero
Unless the buyer is also suspended, ebay doesn't do this. Trust me. With my year of trying to go after counterfeiters, it's very rare that ebay has just sent me money unless the seller was someone very bad and connected to multiple accounts.
Lots of misinformation on this thread. Firstly Ebay will not refund them so you can get their details from paypal and send it or you can refund.
I would be tempted to refund, you will not get a defect as someone mentioned because the order has been deleted but might well get a return request which then could trigger an ebay refund without return.
I used to do stupid things, not to even go into details. But there is a brand who went out of there way to vero a sold item I had 1 month ago. It can be done. Long as that listing is searchable on eBay it can be vero’d regardless if sold or not. And eBay will not care because the removal is automatic and cannot be undone.

Sorry but what are you talking about? You mean there is way to avoid vero takedown of listings?
