Default Buyer open request for not received then opens up a case “wrong item was sent”. Buy s

Had a buyer open up a case, “item not received.” Uploaded the tracking and got it closed out by eBay.

Then buyer opens up case “wrong item was sent.” But states in a ebay message he never received the item.

Tried my best cooperation with this buyer. Did a trace investigation and everything.

So will ebay close out the case if he misfiled the request.

All depends who looks at the case if had the same thing happen quite a few times and sometimes eBay closes the case in my favour and other times asked the buyer to return the item all depend on the eBay agent . Good luck

Your buyer seems so determined. It is possible the item was delivered to the wrong address?
You can take a look at his feedback left for others.

If he's left and received a good number of positives, then it is possible that your buyer did not receive the item.

Is the item of significant value?

400$ and has feedback of 3. It’s insured. Although with these carriers they very 50/50 on insurance. So I did go ahead and issue a return label

Also tried to work with him. All the buyer states too long and want a refund.

I would have contacted ebay and have them read the messages and close the case.

It does not sound good. It feels like he knows his way around eBay.

I wouldn’t be surprised. I know ebay use to reimburse sellers but that ended so long ago always the bad apples that abuse it.

I had a buyer who purchased 7 bars of 5 kg callebaut chocolate at £25 a bar then opens up 7 cases of items not received as she purchased them all separate I added tracking as it stated items was delivered eBay closed all cases with 1 hour 7 items not receive cases was opened eBay asked me to accept the returns I did after explaining she was just trying to scam she returned 1 bar and got a refund for all I called eBay and thay told me to contact the Fraud team and give me the website est and let eBay know what happens never got no where and eBay shut the account down a few days later with mc011 was a 2 year strong account

It seems it’s best to just take a loss at this point. It shows everyone wins but us.

If you are a good established seller,and the amount is not big,Ebay is known to refund buyer/.seller out of its own pocket

Clse Chat and start again until you get a competent rep BUT email is best for this. Might be hard to get an email chain started with the defects department without having a defect. That would be the best department.

Spent 2 hours going through 30 reps. Basically all of them said ebay will protect you and no help whatsoever. Then two to three of them disconnected when they saw my question lol. I told them you run a circus at eBay. (Not literally) every clown of buyer can go on here and misfile case. Aren’t you running a circus over here?

What the deal with eBay at this point are they still reimburse for fraud buyers or did they stop that.

I did call my carrier they said they did deliver it. But also know FedEx Ground services is hot mess. So kind of scratching my head

Yeah no negs and eBay gets good amount of fees from me. Did they stop reimbursement or have they restarted it again?
