| | | muzzie | 09-08-2020 11:43 AM | Issues creating new accounts Hello guys,
Recently every ebay account that I create has issues listing it's first item. Once I finish the listing, it says "We were unable to verify your identity, please contact us". And only speaking with them through the chat gets it sorted, but takes a lot of time. Any idea what is triggering it? Created hundreds of accounts, so pretty sure I know what I am doing. Thanks :) |

Type of card used? |

So yes it is getting a bit of a pain opening new accounts plus they keep tabs on new accounts untill they are gone passed there first sale and item bought |

eBay and PayPal are constantly changing so your old methods may no longer work until you tweak a step.
Good luck. |

| muzzie | 09-09-2020 04:13 AM | Re: Issues creating new accounts I am creating EU accounts. Separate virtual machines with real fixed residential IP addresses and real phone numbers. PayPal added and verified. It was working perfectly for years, but suddenly this happened. And it all goes fine after a chat with them, but I wonder what could be the issue. Card not added to ebay, only to PP, and PP linked as an automated payment method. However, few reps said that they do not see an automated payment method added, although IT IS added and that can be clearly seen from my seller account page. |

Yes, that happens sometimes. They advised me to relink my paypal accoun to ebay, and re-do the set-up of automatic payment method. |

Residential Ip is best. such as ipburger, but mobile IP doesn't hurt. Paypal or not doesn't matter, it's all about how secure they feel. Make them feel secure, and you'll be fine. |

I like to wait a day or 2 after the PP was verified and confirmed then add that to eBay. |

I like to wait a day or 2 after the PP was verified and confirmed then add that to eBay. | Account created and some purchases were made the same day. Tried to list my items like a week after that. Some very very small zero-risk household items. Did that like 300 times, all went ok. But now that hassle. |

Tactics are evolving all the time, but this does not seem to have any logical explanation, except that I might need to wait more since first purchasing activity in the account, as earlier I was listing stuff not after a week, but after a month. I mean, super low-risk cheap stuff, not my main items, of course. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:02 AM. | |
